Excellent book!
This book is full of knowledge! I really learned an enormous amount about the science behind intermittent fasting. I definitely recommend this book!

Easy to understand and to follow
The book is written for the lay person who wants to understand the science behind IF without slogging through too much scientific jargon. It is comprehensive, comprehensible and generally enjoyable to read. Some parts tend to get repetitive, particularly citations of research, although this is a function of how the author structured the book in terms of specific health issues or conditions. I particularly find his personal plan quite informative and helpful in thinking about what IF approach would work best for me.

Small changes can have HUGE results!
Small changes can have HUGE results! I very much enjoyed reading Dr Mike’s book on Intermittent Fasting. (IF) Dr. Mike breaks down the complex biochemistry of how we metabolize our food into energy in simple laymen terms. This is not a diet book, but a lifestyle book. A lifestyle that is sustainable.From the book, I implemented 2 simple key actions that have been producing results for me! These 2 actions are: Eating within an 8 hour window and working out during the fasting period.Eating within 8 hour window:I agree with Dr. Mike’s preference for skipping breakfast. My experience of waiting until 11am is somewhat easy and sustainable. I have experienced much less cravings by enjoying some Bullet Proof coffee in the morning. (Dr. Mike shares his Bullet Proof recipe on one of his you-tube videos. Check it out!). The healthy fats in my coffee keep me from caving to my cravings.Working out during the fasting period:I have found walking, jogging or interval training during the fast also alleviates hunger and accelerates the benefits of IF. I have also incorporated some BCAA (Branch Chain Amino Acids) to assure energy during my workouts as well as preserving muscle tissue.Dr Mike’s book reflects his philosophy on whole health and is very sustainable as a lifestyle. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants more energy and vitality. The key is to take the simple actions, making them a habit and slowly incorporating other ideas along the way. I do believe that “Wealthy is all about being Healthy.”I do look forward to his next book on HIT (High Intensity Training).

This Really Works!
I read the book about a month ago and then started the Daily Intermittent Eating plan a few days later. I can tell right now that this is something that I will do for the rest of my life! The thing I love most about Dr. Michael is that he is the best at explaining things like this that I've ever seen. I'm not a medical guy but I got it. Sometimes people speak over your head. Not Dr. Michael. When you read the book this will make perfect sense to you.At first I wasn't sure I could do it. Change is always a little scary. I realize now that this was just a bad mindset on my part. After 3 days, my body started adjusting to this way of eating and I started seeing some amazing things begin to happen. So far I've not only lost some unwanted weight, but my focus has greatly improved and my mental and physical energy have really risen. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Thanks Dr. V!If you are concerned at all about cancer, diabetes, alzheimers, or heart disease, you owe it to yourself to read and study this book.

Great information
This book gives great information on fasting. I am older and going thru some health problems. I need to loss weight and become healthier. I am also ready to change my way of eating. This book helped me get thru the ruff patches.

It's not that hard! Worked great for me!
I have done a fair amount of research online and a couple of other books. This one seems to include everything that I was looking for on this subject without too much fluff. I continue to go back to read and find the answers to new question I seem to come up with as well as those from friends. I've found that IF works great for me. I've lost 30+ lbs and have felt great all along. I think this is a good all around type book. There are others better suited to people who really want some in depth physiology/biology.

This is what I have been waiting for...
This book has all the information that I have not been able to find anywhere else. It is so clear and concise, such a great read, and has so much for me to take away from to teach my family and my patients. I know that anybody that purchases this book will find that it is completely worth it. Dr. Michael has such a wonderful way of getting this info out without boring the reader. After the first few pages, you will be wanting to read on and seeing what the next chapter will reveal. I love this book, and I definitely recommend it to anybody out there that has ever had questions about intermittent fasting and living a healthy lifestyle.

Love the way book is been compiled. Giving each ailment its own chapter. Very simple language. Any layman can understand. Waiting for your next book on training. Thank you so much.

Really good and easy read. It gives you an overall understanding of intermittent fasting. It’s a good start to get valuable information of this subject.

A fantastic book on why we need to fast and then how to do it.
I've read many books on fasting and the keto diet. This is one of the best...Dr. Michael has a way of making things very easy to follow and straight forward while at the same time providing a great education on the reasons we need to fast. Love this book and am following it now with success. Highly recommend.

Le jeune intermittent
Voici un panorama très approfondi des aspects scientifiques, mais aussi pratiques du jeûne intermittent. Vu le nombre d'ouvrages qu'on trouve maintenant sur le sujet, on se dit que vraiment ça doit être à la mode comme un temps les jeans aux pattes d'eph, ou alors ça a des effets qui sont assez spectaculaires. C'est vrai que c'est pratique, quoi de plus simple que de sauter un ou deux repas, avec la vie stressée qu'on a c'est quand même plus simple que de faire un régime compliqué. Ce livre n'est malheureusement pas traduit en français, donc il faudra se frotter à la langue de Shakespeare.
