Pricey... But Worth It!!
The price was a bit much but this food did seem to make a difference for my cats. I was mainly worried about urinary issues for one of my boys. He seemed to be straining when he went to urinate and the vet mentioned the possibility of crystals forming and recommended I look into this food. Of course, I wasnt given a perscription for the "perscription diet" formula of this food because the vet wanted to run more testing prior to writing one. Of course, you can't get the "perscription diet" version without a vets authorization. It honestly seemed unnecessary (cash grab) because she had pretty much diagnosed him... so I declined the extremely costly extra testing she wanted to do. I went online and saw this version. I don't know what the difference is between the perscription version versus this one but this has definitely helped him. He is not having the issues he was before (straining to urinate). Plus, it's not as smelly as other soft cat food brands I have used in the past. The cats must like the taste because they gobbled it down. If you want to maintain your cats urinary health, I would recommend this product. It might be pricey but is cost WAY LESS than all the extra testing my vet wanted to do in order for me to get the "perscription" version.

Great Food Replacement for Expensive Urinary Tract Food
I have been ordering this for my 2 cats for the last 6 months, shortly after one of the cats had to go in for a urinary tract infection... :/ The vet and animal hospital prescribed Royal Canin SO. Although I can't say anything negative about the Royal Canin SO food as it was of good quality, it is just too expensive, so I looked for alternative food options. I wound up buying this one after reading the nutritional information and other reviews. I have been supplementing this food with Royal Canin SO, so every other day they get this food. I may be switching straight to this food in the near future based on what I have seen so far an no signs of the infection coming back. The cats seem to like it and maybe even prefer it over the SO as normally there is some of the SO food left when I get home from work, but this food is almost always gone.Lastly, I have been adding a little bit of water to the food while rinsing out the container and is good for the cats as well since they normally don't get enough water in their diet. :)

Great Urinary cat food
Initially my cat was a bit hesitant about this food because the smell isn't as strong as his older food, but he's warmed to it and is now eager to eat it. It takes adding extra water very well, which I prefer to do to keep the cats more hydrated. The cat with the urinary issues hasn't had problems since starting this wet food which I am very happy about.I was very pleased with how full the cans are. Other brands typically have a gap around the outsides or a large gap between the top of the food and the lid; sometimes "gravy" will fill in some space/weight. This food fills the whole can. I'm definitely getting my money's worth here - I feed one of my cat's the Blue Buffalo brand, and those can's run out faster even though I'm feeding them the same amounts. My only complaint would be the food production seems a bit low-quality sometimes. Every few cans there are hard chunks and bits of what looks like bone in the food. Nothing is sharp and it's not inedible for the cat, but I was concerned with the first few cans I came across it in as I'd not seen that in a food before.

It works, but product consistency changes. Just ordered my third case
I have been using this food for over 2 months. For years I had been getting Hills CD-urinary care from the vet. My cat is INCREDIBLY susceptible to UTIs and I was terrified to expose her to any other kind of food. I did a lot of research and ingredient shopping/comparing across many, many brands. Including BLUE Wilderness. This is the one that I kept coming back to. So, I made the leap. Price wise it was worth a shot (or keep overpaying at the vet)The first case of food I got matched the same conistency I had been getting from the vet (Hills CD-urinary care). My cat didn't seem to notice one bit of difference. I carefully monitored her litter box and after about a month, sighed with relief. She maintained a healthy urinary flow (and BM) and was still her happy self with no sign of discomfort or stress. I was so excited! Cheaper food without a vet visit! i ordered another case. The second case arrived and I when I opened the first can, the consistency was different. More loose and wet. I was a bit worried. The previous food was could be scooped an maintain its shape. This needed a spoon. I felt some wind leave my sail, but I put it on her plate anyway. She noticed the difference too. She smelled it and investigated instead of diving right in. She finally started nibbling on it. I have continued to monitor her litter box movements and there have been no concerns. She eats this with no hesitation now. I have just ordered a third case and am anxious to see the consistency. Maybe it's a change in product manufacturing. Maybe it's a change in formula. Maybe it's a reaction to shipment. I don't know. This food seems to be working for my very sensitive kitty who has cost me way too much over the years (she is 13) with UTI issues.

Definitely recommend
I have tried so many different brands of cat food over the years. This one was recommended and I decided to give it a shot as everything else has made my cat throw up. This cat food has made a big difference with both hairballs and the amount of throw up we encounter. Ihave both short haired cats and long haired cats , and it's working for both. I feed both wet and dry and they definitely prefer the wet over the dry but to keep cost down I do dry in am and wet in pm. So far, so good. Fingers crossed it continues to work. I think it also has helped their poop smell less.
