SLUSSBRJ1 ~SIGNALINK USB for RJ-11 MIC Connector

I bought this for my Yaesu FT-2980R after getting frustrated with my janky DIY interface. I was thoroughly impressed before I even plugged it in. This comes with everything you need to get going, including a USB cable, an 1/8th inch cable, an RJ11 cable, jumper wires, adhesive rubber feet (nice touch), an allen wrench, etc.Setup was simple and quick. Just look at your radio's manual to see how its port should be wired for packet, then connect the internal jumper wires correspondingly. Don't buy the jumper board for another $20 or however much they are. If you can do a "Connect the Dots" coloring book, you can connect jumper wires from pins 6-PTT, 5-MIC and 4-GND (or whatever your manual says). The wiring took less than 5 minutes.After wiring it up, it was literally plug-and-play. It acts like a USB soundcard, so just point Direwolf to the right device and you're off.BTW - if you're transmitting but PTT isn't getting engaged, make sure the output volume on your computer is turned up high enough. PTT doesn't get triggered on the interface if the transmission is under a certain volume, and I didn't see that mentioned in the manual.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase so far. I'll update this review if I run into any problems, but this seems to be a fantastic interface for packet radio projects.Happy hacking73 KD2SIX
