Good first impressions
Purchased two of the 1000W units and so far they are pretty impressive. They are very bright and give a decently full spectrum of colour.Looking at the overall colour of the light when both the veg and bloom settings are on, it reminds me more of a MH light as it is very bright in the blue spectrum. I presume this would be pretty good for the veg stage of growing but not too sure about the flowering stage. It may not be a bad idea to supplement these with additional lighting in the red spectrum for the flowering stage however I will have to see some end results first before jumping the gun on that statement. The overall build quality exceeded my expectations and all of the individual LEDs are working as they should on both units. The lenses used over the individual LEDs also work well at spreading the light out over a broad footprint. The units produce a fair amount of heat but still nowhere close to a conventional HID light. The built in fans do a great job of cooling the lights but they do make a slight bit of noise, it’s nothing serious like coil whine just the sound of air moving rapidly. This is my first time using LEDs and I don't have anything to reference these units against but so far I am very happy and can up till this point definitely recommend these as a quality product. The lights are heavy, very bright, well constructed and at a fraction of the price of other big name brands. As I haven't been using these for long, I will update my review in the months to come once I get a chance to see their full capabilities.

The wires run logically and are easy to follow from board to diode
The media could not be loaded. The light was delivered within three days of ordering it, box intact. It comes with ropes and clips for hanging, so no additional ones needed to be purchased. Just to check, I removed the cover on the light to check wiring and soldering connections. The wires run logically and are easy to follow from board to diode. Soldering connections are solid and uniform. Construction seems to be top notch and looks like it would last a long time. It is lightweight and easy to hang. The dual spectrum lighting option switches allow you to just provide 500 Watts of blue spectrum for the vegetative stage and change to 500 Watts of red spectrum for the flowering stage if you want. I personally prefer to leave it as 1000 Watts full spectrum the entire plant growth cycle for optimal wattage and penetration. The light covers a wide area with optimal PAR readings throughout my 4x4(x6) grow tent. It has wonderful canopy penetration with usable light reaching the deepest nodes. The three exhaust fans on the light dissipate heat well and do not add much heat to the tent. Maintaining optimal temperatures in the tent is not a problem as long as you have proper ventilation. If you look at the pictures attached, you will see that my plants look hardy and healthy - they are thriving in the full spectrum lighting. It is an ideal light for home grow tents up to 6x6.After my first full grow with the Growstar 1000 Watt LED, I will add a comparison review to my 400 Watt HID system and a competitor's 600 Watt LED full spectrum. Stay tuned......

My Plants are Happy
The media could not be loaded. I am a fan of Gardening. I love to Explore the New Technologies on the Grow Lights. In This Year the Winter season in CA is also horrible. To take care of plants I need to put them under the light in some Warmer area. SO that the plants will not feel the cold Weather. I have a lot of curry leaf plants and a lot of the vegetables. After using them my plants are very happy. This grow light is has 200 Small Lights. Each light is 5W so a total of 1000W. It has 2 Options as Veg & Bloom. Both are working great.

Chips burning out in under a year. Fixed
I really like the optical lenses, which is why I chose this unit. It's not the best LED grow system, but it worked good for a few months. At 11 months old chips are burning out in a diagonal pattern. The actual usage on this unit has only been a few months total. The lifespan is very short! Too short. Hopefully the seller will replace this one, because it is defective.UPDATE:The seller was prompt and courteous in helping me repair my broken light. I was supplied with a new PCB board, which was shipped to me very quickly. I replaced the PCB board myself without any problems. However, someone who doesn't have basic mechanical abilities might have some difficulty repairing the light at home.I do like this unit, and it does perform well. I am also very satisfied with the customer support I received from the seller. I would consider purchasing another one in the future.
