Elevation Lab AirTag Dog Collar Holder - Waterproof

This was more expensive than some other brands listed, and even though I haven't purchased and compared this to those other brands, I'm extremely happy with this purchase from Elevation Lab, as I can verify that it is well designed and built - and therefore worth the cost (some of which is tied up in the two included precision ground torx screw driver and L shaped torx key). Use the easy to follow directions - for a perfect fit of the Air Tag in the plastic case halves. The outside case has a nice radius around the edges where screws are located - so it is low profile and does not catch on anything. I purchased this to replace a "key tag" type holder, which swung loosely from my dog's collar, and got in the way of the leash on walks. This holder can be placed virtually anywhere on the collar, and away from the leash attachment, so it is never swinging loose, and never in the way of the leash. I positioned it on my dog's nylon woven collar where there was a double thickness of nylon strap - so the plastic backing strap and screw heads are in contact with the 2nd layer of nylon strap, and not my dog's neck. Some complain that the plastic backing strap snapped. I have seen some You Tube videos that show mounting this strap perpendicular to the collar (across the width), but it is not designed for that, and the directions clearly point that out. So perhaps this is how the failure occurred. Others complain that they ripped the insert molded nuts out of the plastic base when screwing together. What I see is these are precision screws and nut inserts. The screws should be tightened only to compress the O-ring to complete the waterproof seal. Once the top plastic case half seats against the bottom plastic case holder, the screws tightening should be stopped. Any additional tightening risks cracking the plastic, or ripping out the nut inserts. For smaller dogs, with smaller diameter necks, or cats - the proper mounting may leave a large flat spot in the collar. Elevation Lab may want to keep this mind and design a small radius interface for small dog/cat collars. This is not a issue for my Lab with a 17" diameter collar. After a couple of months and multiple daily walks, I've had no issues, and remain very happy with this purchase.

Well constructed housing for the Apple Air Tag. All parts and tools are included. I was able to secure the holder to my dog’s collar without any problem. Now his AirTag is not flopping around his neck. Recommend this product!

2 1/2 YEARS LATER… UPDATE: I just changed the air tag batteries again (it’s an annual thing). Out of our original 4 tag vaults, two are still going strong, one has seen better days but is still working, and the fourth… who knows where that fur child managed to lose it at - collar and all have vanished. I am ordering two more to replace the lost one and the best up one - this time the glow in the dark ones… such a fantastic idea! I have taken pictures of the tag vault in the worst shape. This dog loves to wrestle, dig in the mud, swim, and is an expert escape artist. We have used the air tag to track her over a dozen times in the past 2 1/2 years. It has headed us in the proper direction to find her when we wouldn’t have had a clue where to search. Well worth the money for the tag vault and the air tag!!! I bought four of these four month ago and put one on each of our dogs collars. Our dogs are 35-75 pounds and the TagVaults fit all of their collars just fine. Teeny tiny screws (tool is sent with the vault) and I had to use my reading magnifying glasses. But installing the AirTags and putting the TagVault on the collars was not difficult. All tags synced easily with my phone. The TagVault holds the tag securely to the collar and our dogs don’t even notice it’s there. Tonight the wind blew our gate open and our 17 year old, hard of hearing, black lab wandered off. Thanks to the Air Tag and TagVault, we knew exactly where to look and had her picked up within ten minutes of noticing her disappearance. I highly recommend putting one of these on your pet’s collar. ** UPDATE: It’s been one year since we started using the tag vault on our four dogs. Time to change the air tag batteries. Our dogs have been rough on their collars, getting them wet & caked in mud, and dragging each other around the yard by their collars. Despite the abuse, I had no difficulty opening up all four tag vaults and all four were pristinely clean inside. Even the one with the embedded mud in the screws and teeth marks scratched into it was still perfectly sealed and clean. Changing the batteries was simple and quick.

These are absolutely awesome and have been a game-changer for keeping track of our dogs! While Apple AirTags aren’t completely foolproof—since they rely on other devices nearby to update their location—they are still a fantastic solution for added peace of mind. Knowing I have an easy way to locate my dogs if they ever wander off is such a relief. The 1” leather collar we paired the AirTags with attached effortlessly and has held up incredibly well. I’d absolutely buy these again.

I bought in January 2025 for my dog who spends much of his time on the beach and in the water. It's been reliably dry and protective and I love that it is attached securely to his collar. It's now December 2025 need to change the battery in the airtag again (I've changed it twice this year). One of the four screws holding the cover on is essentially stripped and cannot be removed. At this point I will have to replace the case. It's too bad because everything else on the case is perfect.

I bought these to track my dogs after my boy was missing in our area for 6 days. It was horrible, I live in the mountains and they can be very unkind to lost animals. I was fortunate he came home but I thought to myself with an AirTag I might have been able to get him sooner. Only time will tell how they hold up but they seem very durable and the screws go into metal not plastic screw holes. They have a rubber water tight seal. I’m also placing one in my daughter’s backpack because you just don’t know these days!

This was very easy to attach to a webbing collar. I like how you can access the AirTag without removing it. So far, I am very happy with this holder. I had one that dangled down from the collar and it was alway in my dogs face or hitting his bowls.

Llevo aproximadamente un mes con el tagvault. Vivo en un área muy calurosa y mi perrita se mete a la piscina todos los días, el tagvault ha aguantado perfectamente, el airtag está intacto al día de hoy, es una cosa impresionante. Es muy fácil de instalar, el tamaño no es tan grande; mi perrita es una Shih Tzu, tiene el cuello corto, no le incomoda ni impide que juegue o corra como usualmente lo hace. El tagvault me da mucha seguridad porque me consta que el AirTag está protegido. El tag funciona muy bien para monitorear a mi perrita, y con el tagvault mi perrita puede hacer y deshacer como le plazca y sé que va a estar vigilada.

Easy to install. Reasonable size (even for a small 4.5kg dog). Just note best to put on harness rather than collar. Haven’t tested waterproof ness. The glow in dark works well, just needs to primed with a torch. It’s good size for attaching to collar on my 12kg dog

Very easy to attach to our dogs collar. You get all the necessary tools required, so it comes as one lot. I even got a spare screw. Much better than having the tag dangling from the dogs collar, so more secure and I feel less likely to go missing.
