Should be 1st book to get a grip of the Capital market
It's kind of an autobiography that Reads like a thriller giving lots of capital market hacks throughout. Good starting book if you want to understand investor and trader behaviour. Good starting point to understand bond and equity environment in US and the world overall.

Awesome story, awful print.
Reviewing the print quality only as the book itself needs no recommendations…Printed in UK?Such low quality cover, paper and print at 400+ price! If possible avoid this paperback format online or buy from a physical book store if available.Same with “The Big Short”. Great book, poor print.

Good product but bad choice of courier service
Good product and at Rs. 160/- it is a value for money. Lewis does a good job of narrating his experiences as an employee of 'Salomon Brothers' and how those wall street firms operate, their ethics, mindset etc.. Although his experiences are more from experiences as a trainee and trader on the floor, book covers only few years of the history of 'Salomon Brothers'. It could have been better had he covered next few years as well till the fall of 'Salomon Brothers'.Regarding delivery, although product was 'Fulfilled by Amazon', it was shipped through Gati Courier and they ruined my overall experience. My earlier order, which was fulfilled by Amazon was delivered overnight by Bluedart and I had that experience in mind while ordering this product, but Gati took 5 days for same city delivery and ruined my overall experience as well as my faith in 'Fulfilled by Amazon' service.

Great, must read!
Great fan of the author, and this book is as good as his renowned “big-short” on sub prime crisis. This tells his own journey through the world of finance and it’s a fascinating journey. Just as he has been doing all along, the author presents complex financial world in such a simplified way that even a layman like me finds it easy to identify and submerge in it. Awesome is the word!

A very good read
A very good read about the evolution of modern financial instruments in the debt market with humorous one liners. The following part is apt description of an investment banking analyst..resembled a lot. ;)'Analysts didn't analyze anything. They were slaves to a team of corporate financiers, the men who did thenegotiations and paper work (though not the trading and selling) of new issues of stocks and bonds for America'scorporations. At Salomon Brothers they were the lowest of the low; at other banks they were the lowest of the high; ineither case theirs was a miserable job. Analysts photocopied, proofread, and assembled breathtakingly dull securitiesdocuments for ninety and more hours a week.'

Interesting reading
Inside large wall street corporations, their sheer size, impulses it gets to boost growth, indecisive ways costing the corporation, beautifully put by author.

A perfect example of the fact that History repeats itself
This was Michael Lewis' first work and he reveals his first brilliance as a tracker of Wall Street's conscience. The roots of many of the inglorious financial innovations and their pernicious effect on society can be traced right back to the 1980s. We have had 1987, 1998, 2008, 2010(flash crash) and silicon valley joining wall street with the speculation in crypto currencies and algorithmsThis book is a testament to the fact that there will always be Deja vu in Financial Markets and we are condemned to repeat our mistakes if we are destined to forget History
