I'm new to soldering so I don't have a professional opinion, but this tool seems straight forward. You plug it in, turn it on and it heats up.What I like about this one is that it comes with flexible arms to hold your wire while you solder. Convenient for sure. I did put some heat shrink on the alligator clips because the plastic tips kept sliding off. Heat shrink is holding them on fairly well so far.

Solid soldering iron for the hobbyist. The helping hands are an excellent bonus.I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

I couldnt have asked for a better iron honestly! This iron heats up to any temperature I need in about 6 seconds. Very easy to follow the instructions and figure out how to set the units. Be careful when in the menu so you dont change the temperature readout on thw screen. It allows you to change the readout when in the menu to ensure the readout is accurate to the actual heat of the iron if it ever changes for some reason. Very easy to solder small part, larger parts can take some time, but the iron is indispensable.

Gets hot super quick

This is a well thought out soldering station I'm sure there are better ones out there but not anywhere near this price point if you want a solid piece of equipment that delivers on every promise at a surprisingly fair price this is it can't say enough good about it

This has been fantastic. I use it for my soldering projects. I'm older, so my hands shake a little, the alligator clips make soldering much easier.A slight downside was that the first one I received has no additional tips (which I needed). I got a replacement next day and all is now well.I would like a place to store the extra tips.

Good product for small to medium projects.

Failed to produce heat after an hour’s use.
