Both compasses look like they appear in the photograph, but the dial tends to get stuck if not on a perfectly flat surface (even on our countertop) which makes it useless or even dangerous if used outside.

Very heavy! These compasses are set in a heavy, solid chunk of milled aluminum. They are hefty, tough and actually look and feel very high quality.

I wish I could give this product a big fat Zero. It can not even find north let alone any other point. Very disappointed

This perfect stocking stuffer fell flat at our Christmas. Maybe it is a better gift for outdoor people or Boy Scouts. It works as a compass should. I like mine very much as I need a little help sometimes. It is so easy to put on a key chain or fob. I keep one in my purse. It was a great price, especially since I bought a lot at one time.
