A premium Bible at an economy price
The leathersoft cover on this Bible has a premium look and feel. The decorated spine along with the actual Ribs on the spine also contribute to the premium look and feel of this Bible. In terms of the text, the text is very clear and easy to read, and the drop caps add a nice decorative touch. The red letter printing appears to be very consistent throughout. There are a ton of footnotes; in my experience I much prefer a center column reference and these footnotes at the bottom tend to appear to run together, but that's just personal opinion. My only complaint in terms of quality is that the index cuts are not very smooth. I have a KJV version of this Bible and it's index cuts are very smooth; I assume the difference is just a matter of blade sharpness when the cuts were made and what you get will be luck of the draw. That being said, it's not really an issue at all. Two ribbons is a nice feature.

Best bible I’ve owned.
Wanted a NKJV and this one was great. Gold siding stands out and beautiful printing in paragraphs on top of the gold lining on the sides. The two tassles allow me to hold my spot on more areas of reading or hold between Old and New Testament sections. Even my Royal Ranger kids thought my bible looked cool and admired it.

My favorite modern translation in a personal size with an easy to read font!
Although I do use the ESV, NASB 77, and RSV, my favorite modern bible translation is the New King James Version. I've used it for 4 decades. When I sit down and read the bible for an hour or two, I prefer to use either the KJV or the NKJV. Now that I'm getting old, I either need to read print that has a large font size, or an easy to read average font size. The Thomas Nelson Comfort Print bibles are easy for me to read. I like the leathersoft cover and the design of the Sovereign collection. Binding is a bit stiff, but not bad. Perhaps it will loosen up a bit with use.

Amen!
I started my faith this year and began with the KJV bible. Some concepts were a little hard to grasp so I bought this bible to go along with my other and it is great. It helps understand his word a lot better!

A beautiful Bible!
I'm so pleased with this Bible, its quality is surprisingly very-high. I have many kinds of study Bibles with commentaries to help for studies, and my favourite translations are mainly the KJV, NKJV and ESV. But this time, I wanted a personal sized Bible without commentary or study notes; just a plain and simple BIBLE for reading the Scriptures.Afte placing my order for this NKJV Thomas Nelson Sovereign Collection Bible, I can confirm that I'm extremely satisfied with this Bible, it's exactly what I was looking for (and more!). Firstly, it arrived much quicker than I expected it to, and it came the day after I ordered it: excellent delivery service!Secondly, this Bible is a lovely size and fits beautifully in my hands (15cm x 22cm x 4cm). The leather is Black Leathersoft material, so its front and back covers have an old, grainy look to them and are quite floppy and flexible, which is an amazing feature for me.In the Bible itself are brief book introductions, the NKJV Scriptures and cross-references at the bottom of each page. The cross references don't feel intrusive when reading, as can be the case with Bibles that have commentary in them, so that's another plus! The pages are also a bit thin, but not too much, which is perfectly fine, in my opinion.Thirdly, this Bible uses the Thomas Nelson NKJV Typeface, which is a hybrid between old and modern font which is easy on the eyes with comfort print, and is very nice if you prefer a visually older-looking Bible font. And the red letter illustrations that lead each book introduction and chapter are just the cherry on the cake; beautiful! Finally, after the end of the Book of Revelation, there is a decent sized concordance and 8 vibrant colour maps.Overall, if you are looking for a Study Bible with extensive commentary, helps and notes, this Bible definitely not for you. However, if you're looking for an attractive, older-looking Bible in its visual presentation, along with just the NKJV translation of the Scriptures and excellent readability, I highly recommend this one! And for its price, it's a must have!May the Lord bless you in your decision for choosing whether to purchase this! Keep studying and keep looking up in faith for that blessed hope, for your redemption draws near!
