I recieved this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I believe that this product is good for anyone who wants the final touches on their pool or pond to make it extrodenary. This light sinks to the bottom and allows th whole pool/pond to be lit up. These pool lights are really neat. The remotes have 15 colors plus white (16 total). Some of the color variations are very subtle, but true to the remote display. Our kids are like that gorilla who used to throw the luggage around. . . if they can play with these for three nights straight without breaking, I can say they are sturdy lights. One of them got tossed on the concrete pool deck without any damage. They survived a pool party with 12 kids. The colors are bright and you can set them to change on their own. Our pool light went out about two years ago. We haven't had an extra $250 to get it replaced, PLUS it seems awfully expensive for a light. This is a wonderful alternative. The lights do not come with batteries (AAA) and I only had enough for three, but the forth light did work. The remote controls did have batteries. Both remote controls worked with all of the lights, and you can set the different lights to different colors, by keeping some of the lights "out of range" of the remote while setting. We had three of the lights going in the pool through rotating colors, but all of them were different at any given time. It was very groovy. The remote was able to change the light at 7 feet of depth in the pool. I don't believe the remotes are waterproof, and certainly didn't try it out.

I wanted my turtles aquarium to have a lighted appeal at night time. I've tried different lights along the way. Glowing bubble blowing base drop lights are way to expensive. The strings of lights nervous really look appealing on the tank. This led battery waterproof light works great.It comes with instructions, but quite easy to set up. The bottom unwinds off for you to place 3 AAA batteries. This is a very thick plastic..but not overly heavy. Once you close it back tightly it's ready to work. The remote control has a built in battery ready to use.It's very bright. I immediately played with the remote to see all the different color options. One of my favorite setting is the flash. It's sequences the colors. You can choose to have a solid color, flash, strobe, fade or smooth.The solid colors or flash look best in my aquarium.(75 gallon). This led light floats. When I buried the base to keep light at the bottom the remote didn't work as well. I keep mine floating on the top. The water flow moves it around and looks quite amazing. My turtles think it's a new toy. 'The remote works rather easy. I've noticed it's bedtime if your within 5 feet. This does say you can be further away, but in my tank the further I backup it's hard for remote to work. (Probably because the piece flotsam around.I bought this product at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review. Check out the pictures. If you want to light a tank bigger than 75 gallons I would suggest getting two.

While the idea is great (purchased to use in a fish bowl) I had to replace batteries 3 times in 2 days. I finally gave up and turned it off altogether. Bummer!

Okay this is REALLY COOL, BUT hello difficult packaging!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. It was almost impossible to get into it the way they packaged it......It's awesome with all the colors and ways you can run it. This little light is amazing. We were looking for something to light up our above ground pool when it starts to get dark because we are a family of all day swimmers and I found this light for a pretty reasonable price. The light is only about 2 1/2 inches in diameter, but is really bright. We love all the different colors that it can do and the different functions like strobe and fade. When you place it in the water it slowly sinks and from the viewpoint of under the water resembles a UFO. We couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. The kids just love to go "night swimming" and play with the light and some glow sticks. It must be pretty durable because they are not gentle with it. My only complaint is that the remote doesn't seem to be able to reach when it is 4 feet under water to change the settings.
