Festool Model TS 55 REQ Plunge Cut Saw with T-Loc and Rail

After much research, I decided to buy this track saw due to its accuracy and that it has a riving knife (an important feature for me.). I wanted something portable, light, and small. I love this track saw!!! It cuts everything like butter. This was my first Festool and also got the CT MIDI I for dust extraction. And the fine tooth blade, and the extra tracks, and the clamps, and the..$$$ later. But they are better than sliced bread ( I may see how my TS performs cutting bread...). Cut 100s of feet of 5mm underlayment (no chipping), poplar, and oak. Did the job. Sold on Festool.

It is my second set of tools I bought from Festool . Absolutely best quality and acuracy . Im purchased hepa vacuum as well which creates almost dust less operation . My Makita set is couple of hundreds $$$ less but Festools workability leaves easy choice

This saw cuts accurately and precisely. The finish on the cut is amazing. Works extremely well for bevel cuts.

This saw is awesome. Perfect cut each time. Bought another 55" extension for 4 X 8 sheets of mdf. With the dust extractor, no mess at all. Really don't need the table saw much. Also doubles as jointer edge.

Im cabinets installer , I cannot work with out this saw . Pricy but lot worth

Best saw I've ever owned.

Hate this tool. It is a poster child for German over-engineering. It has multiple safety interlocks that all need to work, and are mostly plastic. It broke after a few months and had to be disassembled completely and most of these useless "safety" features taken out to get it to work. It doesn't cut particularly robustly, and when beveling it is too light weight so it try to climb away from the work. I love Festool's orbital sanders and Domino machines but don't waste money on this one. Lots of others that work better and cost less.
