Simply thank you Darin Olien!
I know all the information given in this book already and practicing almost all of it many years. But there is a gap in between times by not doing it constantly because of doing the same thing over and over again becomes boring unfortunately! Choosing these rules as a life style in our society is very hard to follow! But writer puts his awesome style of writing in it with a big heart and love, it is a constant reminder to all of us that we must choose to live and teach others the way how our body works and what it needs. Excellent book, easy to read for everyone to understand and follow. I will read this book again and again to never forget how correctly I must take care of my body. Thank you

Dietitian Recommended, the BEST resource I can find to help anyone and everyone!
I'm a dietitian, a certified health coach and a Beachbody coach. Because of my own passion for health, I've read (and continue to read) a ton of books on various health topics...and I scrutinize them all. I am always looking for sound advice, things that make sense from all angles, actions that can be taken by me (a motivated person) as well as by the average Joe...and it certainly helps when the material is written in a voice that is believable and understandable. This book exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Right from the start of the book, you can sense Darin's genuine nature, his love of health, and his desire to do things THE RIGHT WAY. He brings you immediately into his world, as a tour guide of sorts, and leads you on a journey to identify the 5 core things we can do to maximize our health, right now, and forever. It is a sensible approach, explained through his perspective (a self-declared "tree hugger"), which adds a dimension not usually present in other health books. Darin's real-world experiences are immensely valuable--he can teach us things that he has lived and experienced because of his hands-on approach. His plan is clearly outlined and his tips and advice are cleverly sprinkled throughout the book (so you won't want to skip a page or you might miss out on some of his wisdom, shared with you in his comfortable, call-it-like-it-is voice). The information he shares is backed up by clinical studies (to which he refers) as well as his unique, worldly experiences. As you read the book, you get the overall VISION of how to be healthy--and then, in the final chapters, you get concrete help on how to put these principles into play with the help of food lists, a 10-day meal plan plus recipes. I highly recommend this book as the BEST resource I currently know about to help anyone and everyone find a path to their best health.

A Superlife Can Be Achieved
I got tuned in to Darin thru the NETFLIX show 'Down to Earth'. I love his podcast and generally his all-around style of parting information. His knowledge is deep, and to question that is simply ridiculous. However, I will say this: if you are just mow beginning your journey into a plant based world, exercise, knowledge, and hydration then this book is ABSOLUTELY for you. It is what I will refer to in the future as the ;must read' primer for anyone ready to step on the journey to great health. unfortunately, I have been on this ride for a little while, so some of this was a little repetitive for me (not that re-emphasizing the basics isn't important; because it is). I found myself skipping around a little bit to seek out information I had not already learned on my own through independent research or trial and error. The end of the book was better suited for me as I had wonderful information about various foods, recipes, and a menu. Here is why I will recommend this book to anyone interested. I think Darin really cares about the subject and the folks he shares it with. Are we not all ready for some positive energy and good healthy suggestions on living a healthier life? A 'kick-ass' life? It's a good read and worth the time. Be safe and be well.

Great easy read. Helpful explanations of healthy minerals, etc
Great easy read. Helpful explanations of healthy minerals, etcI do wish there was some chapters that had recommendations for the supplements if can't find food. For example, there were several recommendations for increasing vitamin D, but all are not created equal, but there was not any suggestions what to buy. The recipes in the back were great too!

Good Advice
I really enjoyed reading this book. I learned so many things that I really didn't comprehend before. We all know what we should be eating, but junk food is very enticing. This book explains the actual impact that bad eating has on our health over time. Very eye opening!

Motivating, lots of great info...
Thank goodness for the "Down to Earth With Zac Efron" programs on Vice which is how I found Darin and this great book. I am motivated more than ever to take action on improving my health through better food choices and do more environmentally. The book is well-written with great meal ideas. Thank you Darin and Zac. The book and the series are so very valuable and appreciated!

Yes!
Really great book if you want to learn more about nutrition and how much of what we eat really affects us not just now but in the long run. I learned so much and have started applying some of the things he mentions into my life and boy has it made a difference. It's and easy read and doesn't get boring (in my opinion). I went through it the first time with a highlighter for the things that stood out to me the most. Will read again for sure. There is so much information to absorb it all in one read.Highly recommend!!

Life changing
This was a very refreshing take on nutrition. Instead of placing so much emphasis on what not to eat, I love that the focus is on what to eat and how it affects us. I knew I was feeling sickly for years but this book really helped me understand why. I was a big keto person, and diet hacker, and always searching for the next gimmicky diet craze. This book was the wake up call I needed. I now view food as either a medicine or a poison; helpful or harmful. I’m pissed at the food industry for making us all fat and crazy. The answers were always right there, but thanks to Darin for putting it all in this lovely book.
