What is a SlideBelt? It's a leather belt that lets you freely adjust your belt size without the limitation of holes in the leather. In fact, there are no holes at all! A tab in the buckle catches on a row of notches sewn onto the underside of the leather, allowing for over 30 size options with 1/4" (6.35 mm) between adjustments. Each SlideBelt comes with a belt strap that can be trimmed to your exact waist size. The full length of one of our straps fits a 44" (112 cm) waist size. All buckles are completely removable and interchangeable with compatible SlideBelts products. Try a SlideBelt out and see why there's no reason to poke holes in a perfectly good piece of leather.

A Flawless Belt
After comparing the various sliding-type belts on the market, it appeared to me that Slidebelts had a superior product, both in design and quality. I'm convinced that I made the right choice; the full grain belt was head and shoulders above the other products from other similar belt makers out there, which are predominantly split grain leathers. Slidebelts also makes a split grain and a top grain belt, but I decided to go with the highest quality that they sold. After seeing this belt and its construction, though, I am confident that the lesser-priced belts that Slidebelts sells are most likely of great quality as well.I've been wearing the belt for some time now, mostly for work, and it performs like a champ. The buckle is flawless, and operates with ease. The belt/leather looks fabulous and has suffered no wear at all. It's obvious that it is high quality leather and has a high quality finish. No scratching, no rubbing, no discolorations. Simply flawless, and apparently made to stay that way. The buckle design/operation does not rub the leather at all. It's so easy to operate. There's no doubt that I'll be looking to purchase additional Slidebelts in different styles and colors in the near future. They're classic in styling, and obviously built to last a long, long time. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend.

Nice belt. Works well
Nice belt. Works well. The buckle is high quality and very heavy. It did set off the metal detector at TSA Precheck and I had to take it off. The belt is a glossy smooth leather. Seems durable but I've only had it a week. Not sure about the leather quality but it looks nice. I like the exact fit you can get with this kind of buckle so I would buy it again.

Best belt latching mechanism I've used.
The latch functions similar to a web belt, in that it allows fine adjustment of belt length. The ratcheting buckle only allows the belt to only tighten, unless the lever around the buckle is pulled to release the latch and allow the belt to be loosened or removed. The smooth leather is far more attractive than a web belt (a very low bar), but the style is typical of mass production.Other reviews have claimed it isn't real leather. I'm not an expert on leather, so based on internet search knowledge of how to spot fake leather here are my observations that support the fake leather hypothesis when I compare it to my other leather belts:If I look closely at my other belts I see irregular patterns in the surface imperfections that this belt lacks. It doesn't smell like leather — even a belt I've had for over 25 years has a distinctive scent when I sniff it in common with my other leather belts that this belt lacks.I don't feel comfortable declaring it fake leather when I'm not a leather expert, but I'm suspicious. I made sure I was ordering the full grain leather version, at a significant difference in price, and it is labeled as full grain leather.Observation about quality:The toothed insert for the latching mechanism is shifted so far towards the buckle end of the slot that the last row of teeth are blocked from engaging the pawl. While I'd never use that row, as the belt would be cut far too long if it were that tight, it indicates a lack of attention to detail in design or assembly.Assembly notes:The strap should be cut square and pushed to the back of the slot during assembly, to ensure it will end up parallel with the buckle. The slot for inserting the strap into the buckle is unnecessarily wide, allowing the belt to be off center in the buckle by about a millimeter, and should be carefully centered during assembly.Since the belt is intended to be cut down to size, I recommend cutting off a small part and assembling it once as a practice run before cutting it to length. If it's assembled poorly the indentations in the strap from of the teeth of the buckle would make fine adjustment difficult, and, any attempt to do so would weaken the strap.

Why Have I Not Had This My Whole Life?
This, is hands down, the best belt that I have ever owned in my entire life.My waist size, depending on the pair of pants, ranges from 28 to 32, usually hovering in the middle at 30. Yes, I'm a very skinny person. Which also means that I'm very bony, and am prone to having my belt cut into my waist if too tight. In 2018, I went through five leather belts, all of them breaking the same way as the last; the hole ripped! For me, I can never find the proper balance. If I choose the hole that's comfortable, my pants need to be pulled up every 30 seconds as I'm walking. Should I choose the hole that keeps my pants up properly, the belt is cutting into my waist and causing severe discomfort in mere minutes. Eventually, the leather gives out and the hole I use most rips, and the belt fails. Please welcome to the stage, the Slide Belt. This belt, is amazing. I can't believe I've gone my entire life without owning this product!Setting up the belt was a cinch. There are markings on the back that indicate size, and you want to cut it a size or two too large in case you need to adjustments, because every pair of pants fits differently. You then clamp the end of the belt into the buckle, and you're ready to wear the belt!Adjusting this belt on the go is as easy as ever. I'll give you an example. I clean floors for a living. When I'm at work every night, there comes a point where I have to pick some rubber mats up off the floor. How I wear the belt normally when I'm just walking around, is a little too tight when I have to do a lot of bending down. So, I simply loosen the belt by one or two clicks, and it's now keeping my pants up, but NOT cutting into my waist when I bend! As soon as I'm done with the repeated bending, I simply pull the belt tighter by one or two clicks again and I'm ready to walk! The concept behind this belt is amazing. It makes it the most adjustable belt I've ever owned, and it has never loosened or tightened on its own or anything, and shows no signs of breakage or wearing out so far.
