Why glass? Unlike plastic and metal, glass is completely natural and won't leave any disgusting or harmful aftertaste. Many plastic and even some metal bottles contain bisphenol A (BPA), a cancer causing chemical that the FDA began warning people about in 2010. Glass is chemical free, made of natural materials, and is dishwasher safe. Why Borosilicate glass? There are many different types of glass, but borosilicate is the top of the line. When you think of this type of glass, think Pyrex. Borosilicate glass can withstand high and low temperatures without shattering and is lighter and less prone to break. Why double walled glass? Unlike single walled glass, double walled glass creates a thermal effect, helping to keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for much longer periods of time without the heat transferring to the exterior wall. The air pocket between the two walls acts as insulation. This has the added benefit of our bottle won't "sweat" like other bottles. If you want to increase the bottle's effectiveness, for a hot drink start out by heating the bottle in the microwave or for a cold drink cool it in the fridge or freezer. Why a two piece infuser? Our two piece infuser allows for either tea or fruit infusions (or both!). For tea, simply put the tea leaves in the large infuser basket and screw the small filter on top of the basket, and then snap it into the bottle. For fruit infusions, put your fruit directly in the bottle and snap the small filter into the bottle to filter pulp and seeds while you drink.
