Received this cushion just a few days earlier, and so far it is relieving my backside discomfort from my recliner. I can certainly tell the difference it makes. Nice cover as well. I only wish it was a few inches wider, but it works and I am well satisfied.

Yes, this item is made from very thick memory foam, but it's advertised that way. If you're looking for something less bulky, this isn't the product for you. What this cushion is fantastic for is placing your backside on it for long periods of time. If you work at a desk for any reason and remain there for more than a few hours at a time, this cushion will make your joints and back very happy.I do not find the memory foam to be too firm. I am male and weigh around 200lbs. The foam is thick enough that I do not sink in the cushion to the point it "bottoms out." If you're worried about the cushion raising you up too far, at my weight I seem to compress it roughly 2/3 of its depth. As such, I seem to only gain an inch or maybe a little bit more. Of course, because the foam is rather thick, when you first sit in it, it takes a minute or two for the foam to compress. When I first sit in it, it does feel like I've grown 3 inches, but after a minute, I feel normal.The cover is removable, and it isn't overly difficult to slide on and off. It isn't easy, but I didn't feel like anything was about to tear apart when I removed the cover to wash it.The only negative thing I can say about the cushion is that it has a very unique odor to it. It isn't overly offensive or off-putting, but the memory foam does smell a little odd. For this reason, when I received the cushion, I immediately washed the cover but realized the cover didn't smell. It was just the foam itself. I don't know how memory foam reacts to being soaked in water, so I haven't tried washing the foam, but I'm sure some kind of scent spray would mitigate the odor. That said, if you have a very sensitive nose, maybe this cushion isn't the best option.All in all, the odor doesn't prompt me to knock stars off.

Really like this but wish it was a couple inches wider. I would recommend.

The pillow comes so wrapped up in packaging that when it unfolds it is so thin! There is no firmness to it at all. This item is not properly advertised. Its so flat that the cover hangs on it. Not worth it.

I bought this because it had a high rating and appeared to have the features I wanted. Upon receipt I was very happy with it. It was very comfortable and seemed well made. Now I have had it for about one month and I have ordered a different style. I will use this one only as a back-up. I have a few different issues that have made it unacceptable and, if I had been aware I would have definitely made a different choice.The description said it was useable for obese patients, which I am not (5’6” / 160#). The “memory foam” has already flattened more than an inch and I don’t even sit in the chair throughout the day. I mostly use it to move around the house.Also, it is not waterproof. I’m not incontinent but I do have some leakage and, despite putting waterproof pads inside the cover, the foam has been damaged. Kind of seems like a no brainer that there should be a waterproof liner at the very least. Today when I took the pad out to wash there was a flimsy piece of facing just laying in there.I ordered the Vive replacement; I guess we’ll see how that goes.

Works best for me on a firm chair or bench surface. Bottom cushion surface grips chair or bench. Attractive Velvet like top and side surfaces. Ships compressed in a tight roll and fluffs up quickly when released. Cushion thickness is an honest 3 inches but there is a small amount of compression when you sit on it... less than would be with a regular pillow. I think it would be quite possible to stack 2 together to get more height. I'm happy with it and may even order a second one.

I bought this for my recliner that has seen better days as seat cushion has lost its firmness. After looking for a new recliner at 3 different furniture stores and not liking any of them for one reason or another, I decided to try this cushion. Only had it a day, but so far its been pretty great. Firm, yet soft, stays put, because of thickness its easier to get off the chair. Hate to admit it, but I'm not as young as I used to be and trying to get out of a chair you sink into was a challenge. Anyway, I like it and it saved me $1,000's of dollars from having to buy a new recliner.
