Work Perfectly for Me
The one caviat at this point is that I have only had these running for about 72 hours and so cannot comment on long term performance. However, at this point, I am very pleased with my purchase with no issues since installation.I was in two minds, having read the few reviews on here, most of which are quite negative, but I decided to take the plunge and buy 2 packs of 4 as I like smart bulbs, these were a good price and I have been happy previously with the conventional Lepro LED bulbs I have bought. To set out my requirements, we have an Amazon Echo and 7 spotlights in our Kitchen - all, annoyingly, running off one switch. There are 6 in the ceiling and one recessed over the hob. As the reviews suggested they might not work, I decided to just do the one in the hob first to see how it would go.A couple of things to make clear at this stage:1) These will ONLY install on 2.4ghz wifi, so if you have a dual band router (most modern-ish routers will be dual band these days) you either need to separate out the 2.4 and 5ghz bands or disable the 5ghz in order to connect them and set them up. This is usually straight forwardly done in your router's wireless settings. Once everything is set up, you can revert to how things were.2) For any type of tech like this, the stronger the wifi signal, the easier things will be to set them up. Distance or interference affecting the signal will create a stronger likelihood of failure. My kitchen has a very good wifi signal. When I connected to the app and selected to connect over wifi, the app picked up my wifi instantly and once I entered the password, I connected without issue. After registering with my email address and following the instructions in the Lepro LampUX app, I set the first bulb up quickly and once I had enabled the Alexa skill I was able to control the bulb easily with my Echo. People have commented here and in Google Play that the Alexa integration with the app is poor, but I have not found that. I am able to easily switch on and off, set colour temperature (cool white, daylight white, white, soft white, warm white) and dim between 1 and 100%. When grouped, this applies to as many bulbs at once as are in the group. I can also set routines easily again for the precise specifications desired.Once I was confident that I was happy with the first bulb, I proceeded to set up the other 6 all at once. I have seen it mentioned that in a single switch set up like mine, all lights must be paired simultaneously, but this is not strictly true. I simply disconnected the bulb over the hob while I paired the 6 ceiling bulbs and then reconnected it afterwards and all 7 were connected. Of course that means that to replace a single bulb I would have to remove the other 6 but at least that means there is a choice between pairing them all again or just the new one, whichever I decide is easier. The bulbs had to be initially switched into pairing mode using the on-off-on-off-on method in the instructions but I instantly had them all blinking and they then quickly paired one by one and were showing in the app and the Alexa app also found them immediately after. I renamed them in the Lepro app and Alexa immediately updated their names as well - something I haven't always found happens with alternative brands. My one criticism of the app, as mentioned in another review, is the tedious way I have to go through a "how to use" guide every time I selected a bulb to rename. However, since the 7 have been set up and renamed, I haven't had to use the Lepro app again so it is a minor annoyance if using Alexa like me, so not worthy of removing a star.Brightness wise, I am very pleased. My previous Lepro LEDs were 4W 350lm Daylight White and the equivalent setting on these bulbs is as you'd expect from 4.5W 385lm - ever so slightly brighter. The added benefit of these of course is the dimming as well as having a range of additional temperatures, which is ideal for a desired ambience. All in all, since first set up I have not so far had any drop outs or lack of response, even when having tested by turning them off at the wall for a period of time. Time will tell obviously but I'm very happy I went with these at the moment.

No good for more than 4 in a room
These bulbs are perfect if you have a room that needs 4 bulbs or less. I had a nightmare with the kitchen ones that need 6-8. They would often not turn on and then random ones would go off or not turn off.I moved a set to my office where there are only 4 bulbs needed and they are faultless. I think too many just jams them up.Had a bit of a faff connecting them all to start with but a bit of google magic did the trick

I’m sad to be returning them…..
…but for ALL the right reasons! Read on if you’re thinking of purchasing these.I purchased these for my kitchen clinking spots. I needed 8 in total. They arrived quickly and were packaged well. It’s such a shame that’s where the positives of this review begins and end. These are most certainly not of the quality of some of the more pricy brands I’m used to!The bulbs themselves are of a standard GU10 fit, and I had no trouble at all inserting them into my ceiling fittings - you’re advised to install them all at once, as you’ll have to reset all bulbs every time you install a new one!Once installed, I powered them up at the switch and went through the set up procedure, which was well explained in the basic user guide. You have to power them in for 10 secs, then turn the light switch off and on three times. The lights should go into set up mode by blinking rapidly. However, try getting 8 of these things to behave accordingly; some enter set-up mode fine, whilst others refuse to budge and so you have to keep repeating this process until they all blink rapidly. The task is very time consuming and very much a case of hit and miss. I’d have more chance winning the lottery than getting on 8 to function as they should. If and when you do get them to enter set-up mode, you have to manually enter your router info and including your password in the free downloadable app (which you must register to use, using your email address). The app, in itself, is so basic and requires a lot of work to bring it up to the speed of some it’s competitors. Every time you select a bulb to adjust lighting, the app throws up a user help info guide of which you have to tap through until you see the ‘get it’ prompt! Tedious. The app won’t search for your router, so you have to have those details to hand. Furthermore, you’ll have to enter your router details every time the app fails to detect a bulb - and this was my nightmare experience! I only managed to get 6 out of 8 to connect at one time, whilst the others delivered a ‘fails to connect’ response.Once the bulbs are connected to your Wi-Fi , they power up with a green-tinged hue. The hue is adjustable, however, but you do have to spend some time setting this up to meet your personal taste. Fortunately, the bulbs can be grouped and controlled via one bulb within the group. Grouped settings include brightness and hue. This works very well - should you manage to connect all your bulbs to the Wi-Fi.Pairing up with Alexa is a breeze and for all intents and purposes, a Godsend, as Alexa’s interface is far more slick and appealing.Sadly, I never really got these things to work properly, even thought I spent an hour and a half of my evening trying, but to no avail. I’m surprised to say, I was relieved to have reinstalled my old bulbs and to see the light!I so, so wanted these to work, to complete my smart home, but these are not so smart and definitely not a smart purchase. Okay, maybe I’m being a little too harsh; if you only need one bulb you’ll probably like these, but buy at your own risk!

A good product and endless fun asking your kitchen "to go lights on"
A brilliant product that gives a strong glow to my kitchen. Easy to add to the app and just as easy to add to Google Home. I would definitely recommend this product. Here are a couple of tips to help with the process. Don't fit all 4 lights at once thinking it will be easy to add them as a batch, it doesn't work and you'll waste time trying to get them to work. The app will not recognise them and will not flash 3 times to link them together. It is better to add 1 and then the other 3 together. If you add them one at a time the lights will reset as each one is added and the OCD in you will always trigger when you have smart bulb 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13. Trust me i understand... and why does the last one have to be smart bulb 13! When it comes to link them to your voice activated device (Google in this case) you will realise the (insert: smart) reason you bought them was to group them together as one, a function I still cannot work out. You'll swiftly realise that the lights are genuinely smart and do it all for you. The final tip is that you will never tire from asking your device to turn on all the lights.
