Drops into standard 2 foot by 4 foot ceiling grid. Looks Great, Works Great
Excellent replacement for an old ailing fluorescent fixture in an office ceiling grid. The light is brighter than the old fixture and seems more natural. No flickers just great light. Easy to wire. There is a metal door with conduit knockouts. Fits the 2x4 grid perfect and makes the ceiling look more up to date.

Light is much brighter than lumen rating
I had a 2-U fluorescent fixture in the kitchen that either had burned out bulbs or a bad ballast. Instead of troubleshooting that I chose to simply replace the whole thing with LED. Many would punch holes in their building's envelope by putting a bunch of can lights, but I'm happy with the light produced by the fluorescent so don't need to leak all my heat into the attic.Pros:- Relatively easy to install. The entire removal and installation took me about an hour but I have zero practice. Subsequent fixtures would take less probably 30m each. I did it alone even though instructions recommend two people. As the light hangs from its bracket at 40 degree angle on hanger cables (not the power cable) there is no awkward part of the process where another person would significantly help. The tedious part is marking spots for 1/2" holes for butterfly bolts such that the fixture will hang square to the room. Its no worse than installing a fluorescent.- Its rated at 3300 lumens. 2* 40W U tube is 4600-5400 lumens depending on brand. My hesitation on ordering this was whether it would be dim. As i'm no spring chicken, I'd rather have the same or brighter. This fixture is comparable to the 2-U with the diffuser removed. Its much brighter than the 2-U with the diffuser installed. If replacing a 2-U 40W (80W total) especially with a frosted diffuser, don't hesitate its not too dim! I suspect the bulbs are tested for lumens alone, but the LED fixture is tested for lumens as a complete product so the losses through the diffuser are accounted in the 3300 lumens.- Color temperature can be set to 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K. On this fixture the 3500K is close approximation of halogen, the 4000K is close to regular fluorescent tubes, and 5000K is blue. In order to get a better feel for the color climb off the ladder (while its hanging at 40 degrees on support cables) and discuss with your partner, because I found it difficult to unlatch and lower once fully installed.Cons:- One defect: a bright spot where the diffuser may have been creased in shipping. I chose not to return it with the defect as all the LEDs seem to be on, and the plastic isn't fractured.- There is a small 0.25" gap between the ceiling and the top of the light due to the way the bracket works. No light escapes through this gap (some brands seem to leak light up there). There are some brands whose bracket is a box to remedy this, but I don't find it a big problem especially on a 12 ft ceiling. It would probably be annoying on a 7 or 8 ft ceiling like a basement.- The light takes half a second to turn on. Its faster than the fluorescent, but there is a slight delay between flipping the switch and the light coming on (at full power). The light claims to be dimmable with a regular (triac) dimmer. If I decide I don't like the brightness (too bright) I'll install one and update with how well it dims.It claims 60000 hour life and 37W consumption (little more than 1/3 the 96 watts for 2*U 40W plus ballast). It should outlast me as LED's don't suffer much from repeated switching. I'll be mildy annoyed if it fails early, and majorly annoyed if it fails when I'm too old to replace it myself (and have to pay someone a huge amount to swap it).Update: decided it was too harsh/jarring to turn on at 0430. Installed a Lutron AYCL-153P-WH. The CPANL dims very linearly and nicely down to a slight glow. When turned on dimmed the delay from switch on to light produced increases. There is no flicker or buzzing noises from the light or dimmer. About half power is good to avoid getting jarred awake, and its nice to have the full brightness available when needed.

Beautiful, modern, low-profile
I purchased this ceiling fixture when my fluorescent fixture failed. I am very pleased with the appearance, brightness, and ease of installation. (I did hire an electrician, but it was a quick, one-person job.)I’m also pleasantly surprised that no fluorescent bulbs are required - LED bulbs are built in!The light arrived quickly, price was good , and I’m happy to have this lighting problem resolved so smoothly. Highly recommend!

Good lighting for an ok price
I had previously bought a pair of off-brand lights like this with similar brightness and color but at less cost. Unfortunately, those suffered shipping damage, and I didn't want to mask the damage or take a chance on replacements also experiencing the same. They were returned. This unit is more expensive for essentially the same feature set, but I was concerned whether it would also suffer similar damage. While the outer packaging is pretty much the same, the inner packaging is better. There are some seemingly insignificant cardboard "brackets", for lack of a better term, wrapping the corners and middle of the fixture. These appear to have provided sufficient protection - in my case, at least. Unit arrived undamaged despite some of the typical exterior abuse that large packages receive from our fine US shipping companies.Install is pretty straightforward. Other reviews have covered that. It can be done mainly by one person, but a second helper is useful at least for holding the base bracket for marking and initial loose-mounting. Probably the "hardest" part of the entire installation is ensuring the unit is square with the room. And that's not even a problem if "close enough" is close enough for you.The 2ft x 4ft unit I got is super-bright. Especially when compared to the terrible 3-bulb frosted glass enclosure I had before (and the utterly weak type A bulbs generally available these days). Installed in a home kitchen with darker colors and a 9ft ceiling height. So much easier to see now.I'm using the middle color option, whatever that is. I prefer the "yellower" end of the spectrum, but wife doesn't like that. She prefers the other end of the spectrum, but I don't like that. Middle is a good compromise of color and actual brightness vs. perceived brightness. Some things to consider:- Some people might feel this larger unit to be _too_ bright for smaller areas with brighter colors. One of the smaller units might be better in those cases.- For a direct ceiling mount, your ceiling and upper areas of cabinets or walls might seem dark. That's just something you'll have to suffer due to the nature of the unit. It's a "down-firing" LED panel with enclosed sides. The effect is probably more of an eyeball-contrast adjustment artifact than a real thing.- Other reviews have mentioned the gap between unit and ceiling when doing the direct ceiling mount method. It's real and noticeable. If you're the type to obsess over such things, a different type of fixture may be better for you.My unit has a flaw where either a portion of the LED strips are loose and dangling or the diffuser panel is slightly indented. The result is a brighter stripe that's maybe 1/4 inch wide by 1 inch long towards one of the corners. I saw this before installing and still chose to keep the unit. It's not distracting enough for me to deal with returns and replacement, and my bet is that normal people won't ever notice it.If you're a business shopping for drop-ceiling options, I'm betting this will work great for you. It's worth ordering a single unit to test.Overall, I like it. My experience has been good enough that I'll shop for the same brand/model for other lighting upgrades that I'm planning. I have some other smaller rooms that need improvements, but they'll get the smaller sizes.

Excellent replacement for fluroescent fixture
The replacement effort for the existing fluorescent fixture in the t-bar ceiling was straightfoward. The existing wiring was in the middle of the fixture, which was ideal placement for the new. I appreciated the professional quality of the power unit connection. The new fixture has small support chains to suspend the fixture during servicing. The warm white light colour was perfect for our laundry room. We did not use the triac option to change the colour. The light distribution across the panel is uniform.

Bright, Beautiful Light Panel
As this was an open-box return, I received this product slightly damaged and partially assembled at a good discount from Amazon. Paper installation instructions were not included, but they do give you a QR code to scan. Once downloaded, I found the instructions to be clear and straightforward.Installing the bracket that holds the panel against the ceiling for flush mounting will be easy for most of you. For me, I never know what new adventure awaits me once I'm through the drywall of the century-old house I live in. In this case, it was some strange, flaky press board that will neither hold a wood screw nor allow the supplied toggle bolts pushed into it to expand--but that's my cross to bear. The instructions and mounting kit for this product should work fine for those of you living in houses built to something post-dating the code of Hammurabi.I installed this in my kitchen. The light produced by this panel is beautifully even and quite a bit brighter than what I was getting from my old twin-fluorescent tube fixture. Because it's so bright, I recommend installing it with a good dimmer switch. The ability to adjust the colour temperature of the light to one of three shades is also really nice.

Very nice panel.
Read instruction before mounting! its tricky and if the panel is uneven during installation because of the size, its gonna get stuck in the clips and your mind will blow out.. Read the instruction carefully, attach the recommended side of the panel first, then hook the metal helping wires on the other side to hold the panel near the ceiling and then proceed to wiring job with both hands..Overall, very insane panel for the price, i have 6 different lithonia panel at home and i really love their product they are well priced and good quality and very well made. totaly recommend lithonia, and most important the look is perfect, very industrial commercial and quality. one thing to note is on 6 panel i received the full hardware only with few panel, it didint matter to me cause i had some in my workshop but keep in mind, its a good idea to have extra grommet and small mecanical scew 2 inches diff size and lenght if you plan to be a happy tasker at home.
