Even as a nurse, I always recommend "natural" remedies first. At the time I first ordered this I was having both post-nasal drainage from allergies and what has been diagnosed (for me) as "silent" reflux. Anyway, I was desperate and I wanted something (as they say) yesterday. I am allergic to most of the PPI's (Protein Pump Inhibitors which is the medication used to treat Acid Reflux) and although I was taking the digestive enzymes with apple cider vinegar, it wasn't working as well as I needed. I noticed relief with the first dose but continued (as I had read in some of the reviews) to take it 2-4 times/day for about 3 days then decreased the frequency until now which I take as needed. Once again, natural remedies have proven to be effective and without side effects. If you read your drug inserts that accompany each prescription, you will find that there is additional information which clearly state that some medicines (like PPI's) are not meant to take forever. PPI's, (drug insert) specifically indicate that prolonged use can exacerbate "arthritis" like symptoms (I have Fibromyalgia) and the recommendation by the FDA is specific to take it for a limited period of time. But, there is always that little clause they (FDA) use, "or as otherwise directed by physician", which protects them from any liability. I have found that there are people, such as myself, who simply do better (re: side effects) with natural remedies. I hope this helps.

It was hard to believe this product would work as advertised, stopping the heartburn within 2 minutes, but it has every time. It hasn't cured me of heartburn, as it keeps returning every day, but it's a great way to manage it until I can find the underlying problem and fix it. If I wake up in the middle of the night with bad heartburn pain, one swig of this from the bottle and the pain is gone for me in 1-2 minutes at most. I have tried Bragg's apple cider vinegar, which is effective too, but not as effective as this. The taste isn't good, but it's much better than the taste of Swedish Bitters (which tastes like something that's not meant to be consumed) and works fast for me. Just beware that apple cider vinegar (and therefore this product) can lower your blood sugar. So it's better to take this close to eating time, if possible.

Worst acid reflux product EVER!! Made my heartburn 10 times worse in 1 second!! If you have chronic heartburn DO NOT BUY THIS!! It's got vinegar in it which is an acid. So your trying to put out a fire with fire! And if your esophagus is all flared up from having heartburn your basically throwing acid on top of acid burns on your esophagus and just so you know IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!! I was dying! I had heartburn all day long (on the day i got it in the mail) so i tried it right away. I could not even attempt a second spoon full cuz my heartburn went from really bad to a frickin blowtorch on my throat in 1 second! It hurt so bad i wanted to cry and I'm a 43 yr old man! The acid burning in my throat got so bad i started vomiting like crazy which made my whole esophagus start burning like crazy. Yeah that was a really crappy 36 hrs of hell not really being able to eat anything. I was just drinking milk all day long to battle the acid in my stomach. You know cuz milk is a base and to neutralize acid you use a base....NOT AN ACID! the company is lucky im not a jerk or i woulda went right to the emergency room and had an emergency endoscopy done to show proof of injury cuz i know my esophagus was swollen as hell from the vinegar and i probably coulda sued them if i wanted to.

Other brands seem to work better.

I have had acid re-flux for years and treated it with Zantac daily with doctor's advice. When Zantac was removed from the market, I was lost. Nothing else worked for me. I'm pretty sure that the constant use of Zantac through the years had changed my body's ability to deal with stomach acids effectively. My friend knew of my problem and when she saw this product, she sent me the link. To say I was skeptical was an understatement. It looked like a bottle of apple cider vinegar, marked up and described as a cure.... but I bought a bottle to appease my friend.It is nothing short of a miracle cure for me... and I'm not even sure that I'm taking it correctly When I first feel acid building up, I take a healthy swig or two from the bottle as quickly as i can (I hate the taste). I cough and choke, because it is really strong and follow it up with several gulps of water (because I have to get the taste out of my mouth). The liquid burns going down my throat and into my stomach, but almost immediately, all traces of the acid re-flux are gone.I almost never write reviews, but I always read them before purchasing an unknown product. The only reason I'm writing this one and because I really do suffer from extreme acid re-flux and this product is the first thing that has worked for me. If the same is true for you, I hope this helps.

You are not supposed to drink it alone. You have to dilute it with water. When I first started to use it, I put 1 tbsp of this stuff with 4 tbsp of water. Still taste awful. It was very strong. Then I put a 1/2 of tbsp of this stuff then add 4 tbsp of water. Still taste bad and strong. But not that strong like before. It does work. But I don't want to continue doing this. LOL. Next, I'm going to try Pepcid complete, the tablets. Just heard those were better. I'm tired of making silly faces with the acv.
