Small, light and great quality and a great price.
Great little lens at a great price. It is very sharp and a good focal length for portraits with a reasonably fast aperture for low light. It's so small and light which is a plus over the f1.2 and f1.4 for travel and long days carrying gear on your back.

Great little lens
The lens it self is brilliant very clear very light it's a stm Lens so a little road focusing but at this price you can not complain, my only complaint is the box seal was open and the lens is a grey import, I can tell by the serial number, I don't mind grey imports but it's best to let people know.

The Canon 50mm f/1.8 RF is a fantastic lens, especially for anyone just starting out. It’s high quality, lightweight, durable, and a great value for the money. The 50mm focal length is perfect for most situations, and the f/1.8 aperture lets in a ton of light, ideal for concert photography like I do on my EOS R. It’s simple, effective, and way better than any kit lens, making it a must-have starter lens for most people.

Five stars because it really is a great lens for the money. I am very happy with this lens. It is light and compact, which makes it ideal for everyday use. For me, its angle of view is universal, it is suitable for both landscapes and portraits. The quality of the materials is perhaps inferior to older EF lenses, but overall it is quite decent. The focusing speed is good, and the image quality at wide aperture was pleasantly surprising. The picture comes out sharp, with nice bokeh. Another plus is the small filter size (43 mm). This means that a polarizing filter or other accessories are inexpensive, which is very nice. Please note that the lens does not have an image stabilizer. Despite this, I really like this glass. It has become my favorite for shooting.
