Authentic pine smell.
Pretty authentic pine smell (slightly sweeter, but not bad), which I like. This is one of the benefits for this product. It says “pine”, and smells like pine. It’s not one of those that have a hint of pine plus add in flowers and other stuff. Some may call those other scents “upscale”- but let’s just keep calling this one “pine”. Because it’s “pine” and I am a man who appreciates straightforwardness.Yes. I am someone has spent a few days cutting trees but I will tell you this does not make me smell like I’ve been cutting down trees all day. The other guy writing that review has clearly never cut a tree (a fact I think you shouldn’t overlook). If this were called “lumberjack”, it would be missing a few other scents, eg. gasoline with a hint of 40:1 oil (50:1 if you prefer the well regarded German brand).Regardless, the scent is a little strong at first but quickly dies down. Not to thick. Spread easily. I’ve had both a long beard and a short beard. This worked well on softening the short beard and keeping the long beard tame. I also smoke cigars and have been told this balm helps keep the cigar residue smell at bay. But it isn’t snake oil so I’m not going to claim this last part of fool proof.

Had to return
This company makes great beard butter balm but unfortunately this was not a keeper. Just from the smell I didn't even try it. It's like drying pine needles/sap and cheap candle wax scent plus a chemical smell . Just somthing I can't go all day smelling. Kinda more of the I need to take a shower before I go anywhere bc I been cutting down trees smell. Not like a attractive smell . I was hoping for more of a masculine scent behind the name with upscale pine woody smokey scent . But for anyone wanting to smell like you been doing yard work or cutting Douglas fur trees and sap this is for you.

Not a cream
Might be on me for not knowing, so have 5 stars for great smell...however, this balm is the same hardness if their cologne. I was expecting more of a softer cream.Just so you're aware of that's what you want, too.

Sweet wood, and pine
The product is very easy to work with, gives a decent amount of control, and smells very good. The scent comes off as a sweet wood and pine scent. The remarkable thing is the my beard feels softer after only a few uses! It's went from "chore boy jr" to feeling closer to dense head hair. My beard is curly and decently dense, so I brush in a small half pea sized amount, then another top layer of the same size to help control and give shape.

Smells like a Yankee Candle store in December
Decent beard balm but I was expecting it to smell piney and woodsy. It really smells like sugarplum fairies and Christmas cheer.
