This low-profile vacuum relief valve was exactly what I needed for my water heater setup. Simple screw in installation once you have your line teed. Allows air to enter to ensure water doesn't leave the tank and so far appears to do it's job. I bought a spare to keep around as I feel it's one of those things that may decide to go bad at some point and it doesn't appear you can buy this at any of the box or hardware stores around me

I drove all over town to find one of these but none of the pluming supply stores had one in stock. I came home and found this one on Amazon and had it the next morning. This solved my leak problem.
