Very nice.
Absolutely an awesome blade. I cut dados with it. The edges are clean and the bottom and corners are flat. I think I'll buy anothe one and use them as a dado stack because I cut a lot of 1/2" dados.

Beautiful cut, but loud.
I’ve used excellent (Forrest) combination and fine crosscut blades for decades, but never a dedicated ripping blade. This was my first rip blade and my first from Freud. The blade rips more easily than a combination blade and leaves a smooth, glue line ready surface which is noticeably a better edge than a combination blade. I love it, but boy this blade is loud. It produces a high pitched whine like nothing I’ve heard before with combination blades, but since I always wear ear protection anyway, this seems a good trade-off for excellent cut quality. The price is less than half what other premium blades cost, which is good for a specialty blade that’s only suitable for one purpose (rip cuts) and I suppose you’d use it only for that, then switch back to a combination or other blade for general purpose work. Recommended.Update 2/24/2025: I commented in my original review above that the blade was probably only suitable for rip cuts and you’d need to change it for crosscuts. Well . . . I was too lazy to keep doing that, so I’ve used it many times now for crosscuts and I can’t see any significant difference in cut quality between this blade and my usual combination blade. I expected bad crosscut quality, but didn’t get it. The blade is very sharp, so (at this point anyway) it produces no cross-cut splintering.

Great blades!
Cuts through stock like a hot knife through butter and the sawdust is minimal. Always loved these blades.

Great blade for the money
I used this blade to rip 6/4 white oak. And while it certainly cut better then a multi-purpose blade it did struggle some ripping the boards with my dewalt contractor saw, which it’s possible just didn’t have the HP for those rips. The cuts were overall good, but I had to do a fair amount of cleaning up to get them ready for glueing up a panel. No issues whatsoever with ply wood, and 4/4 boards. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and I was able to get what I needed done with a little extra effort but if ripping thick hardwood stock to glue up panels is what you are after I’d look into a higher quality ripping blade. Should be pointed out that I am somewhat new to wood working so take my review with a grain of salt.

Better for ripping than a combo blade
I bought this because I had a lot of rip cuts in an upcoming project and some narrow dados. I normally use fine tooth combo blades on my table saw presuming they do cross cuts and rip cuts equally well. Since I have a miter saw I can dedicate my table saw to rip cuts. This blade has fewer teeth than the combo blade I have been using. It rips through cherry boards leaving a very good finish with minimal burning even on cuts over 1" deep. I especially like the flat bottom kerf for cross cutting tenons and for the narrow dados. It leaves a nice flat surface that needs less clean up with the chisel. I also rip cut some cabinet grade plywood with zero tear out. Understanding that this is a brand new, sharp high quality blade and I would expect great performance I am still extremely happy that I am using a rip blade for ripping. Well worth the effort of changing out the blade if you need to. Also I have done some cross cuts and it works fine so you don't need to change it out constantly. Maybe a downside for some - this is not a thin kerf blade.
