Fantastic solder that actually works like old school solder i have tried at least 6 different brands and types containing different mixes of silver and other metals this is by far the best solder I have used post lead free 👍🏻

The WSW SCN M1 (T0051402899) variety of this solder is the silver-free, cost effective version of Weller's excellent solder. Surprisingly for a lead free solder this cools with a shiny joint and is easy to work with (it flows well with a melting point of a relatively low 229 degrees). A 100g reel of 0.3mm solder will probably outlast me.

Wouldnt recommend for general solding due to its fairly high melting point but it worked great for replacing a 12V connector on a RTX 4080. I used it due to its higher melting point (lmao). Not bad as a cheap alternative to some of the silver based unleaded solder alloys.

Arrived on time. These are great for occasional use which suits me perfectly. These are to replace my nearly spent Maplins solder. Most importantly there is 4.5m of solder on each of the three spools supplied and the 0.3mm is going to be quite interesting to use even with my glasses! Might have to consider a new bench soldering station for future projects. First use and solder flows well when tinning wires and soldering components to test board.

When it comes to solder Weller are at the top of the list. Great solder does the perfect job and very easy to use. The size of the roll is very impressive and you’ll get months or years out it depending how much you solder. Great value for money.

Not much to say, its one of the best.

Anfangs hatte ich ein Lötzinn aus einem Set mit Lötkolben und weiteren Utensilien. Das war einfach nur mies. Meine Lötergebnisse waren nicht gut, und ich dachte, es liegt daran, dass ich ein Lötanfänger bin. Inzwischen weiß ich, dass das Lötzinn ganz entscheidend für das Ergebnis ist. Mit diesem Lötzinn von Weller macht man nichts falsch. Damit gelingt das Löten mühelos. Es ist zwar teuer, bietet dafür jedoch eine hohe Qualität. Ich habe den Durchmesser 0,5mm gewählt, was gut passt. Inzwischen habe ich auch einen Lötkolben von Weller. Besser man investiert gleich in ein hochwertiges Produkt anstatt in ein billiges Lötset.
