These are perfect for my work keys. I don't like the retractable style keychains, and using some sort of hook and taking keys off of my belt loop and putting them back on, is sometimes difficult unless I have both hands free. With the magnet, I merely need to move my keys close to the magnet and the two halves snap together perfectly and my keys are secure. I carry about 10 keys for work and they are quite secure. I bought the second one to attach a little flashlight to my bag, so I wouldn't have to dig through the bag to find it, and so I wouldn't have to wrestle with a hook-like clasp thing.

I have to carry my rather large truck key fob plus several metal keys. This little rare earth magnet device lets me leave the fob on the dresser if I'm not driving so I don't have to carry it around in my pocket.When I need the whole set of keys, the two halves just mate back together and I'm off.Very convenient.

This is my second purchase of the product. First one had a really strong magnet and the one I just purchased is weak. I am concerned the key fob will get lost with how weak this magnet is.

This is perfect for keeping car ignition and front door key separate from occasionally used keys like mailbox and eye wipe cloth. Added bonus my 1/2 keychain does not hit me when i drive now.
