I like it
Wow, this is an interesting fruit powder mix, and I'm so grateful I was able to try it out because I've always heard about this type of tree in my "spiritual community" since many refer to it as the Tree of Life (I also think the placenta is like a tree of life as after the birth of my son they did a print of it and it looks just like it). Anyway, this mixes up fairly well in water, and you need to stir it pretty well. I had no idea what to expect since this is my first time trying it, and it almost was like drinking lemon water since it's tangy. If I tried this drink with my eyes closed I would guess lemon was in it, so I was really digging this flavor. I would definitely sprinkle this on cereal, oatmeal, or fresh fruit. I absolutely love that this has low sugar too because I'm on a low or actual zero sugar diet right now healing some health issues, and this is low enough where I can try it. There are 17 servings in a bag, and I'm not sure how much a serving is but I just put a spoonful in my water. This is definitely something I would want to drink every day and it would feel like a luxury. I love exotic products like this. No complaints here. These points in the description regarding nutrition impressed me if you need some of these things in your diet (I sure do right now):6x Vitamin C of Oranges6x Antioxidants of Blueberries4x Potassium of BananasMore Magnesium than Coconut waterTwice as much Calcium as Milk50% Heart-healthy Fiber per serving66% more Iron than Spinach

A powerpack of nutrition from a company that helps communities it works with
This was my first time trying baobab powder, I was previously unacquainted with it, but I was impressed with it's massive amount of fiber and relatively low sugar content. It has some great micronutrients like vitamin C, and has significant amounts of iron. The powder, mixed into a smoothie, is hard to single out, since it's not very sweet, and when there are much sweeter elements like apples or apple juice, it gets lost a bit. I tried adding a tablespoon to a small bowl of oatmeal without anything else and it definitely added a bit of sweetness and a slightly acidic but pleasant flavor. Same held true for adding it to my cacao and soymilk drink. I wouldn't say this is a product that you get to generally add a great deal of flavor to something unless it is the only thing sweet/tangy in that particular dish. Rather it's something that can add some antioxidants, fiber, and mineral kick to whatever you are eating. Most people get way less of these then they should, so adding a bit of this powder to a dish that it's not going to change the taste of much if at all, seems to be an effective way of pumping up your nutrients without a lot of effort.Additionally, the company that sells this seems to go above and beyond when it comes to supporting the communities they work with and help keep this incredibly valuable resource sustainable. If you've never seen much about the baobab tree, do some reading about it, it's a truly incredible plant, not just for the fruit, but for many other things it provides both to humans and other animals. Thanks for reading! I hope you found this review helpful!

Does not mix in
Does not blend in well to any kind of drink. You have to swallow it in clumps.

Very pleased to try this powder.
I'm an adventurous home cook but had never worked with baobab powder before this package. Reading more about the ingredient, I'm impressed with the nutrition packed in each serving, as other reviewers have noted. And, yes, my wife and I do enjoy smoothies, so we tried a bit in a smoothie blend. We agree with other reviewers that we can say we think there's an added tangy sweetness, but we enjoy mixed-berry smoothies and we can't honestly say the baobab was a very distinctive part of the flavor.I did experiment further. I found a recipe for baobab muffins online, which I tried and we very much enjoyed. Again, that particular recipe also had dates and I can't claim that I could have detected baobab without knowing I had added it as an ingredient. We do like the idea of supporting farmers in that region of the world. We like the nutritional content. The packaging makes it easy to store and to keep fresh.Happy to give this 5 stars.

Great Tasting and Great for You
I first became aware of baobab trees, as many probably did, when I read The Little Prince as a child. Well, who know that the fruit of the baobab is a super fruit loaded with fiber and nutrients. Of course, that would not make any difference if it tasted like crap. But it doesn't. It tastes quite good. Afrikinky's Baobab Fruit Powder has notes of prunes, plums and peaches with a mild sweet base. It is extremely versatile, and you can mix it into smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal or when baking in cakes, cookies, muffins. Only your imagination is a limit for its uses.

Tangy, mild flavor, blends with many foods
I started by adding this to a fruit and berry smoothie, and noticed that it seemed to add a bit of tangy flavor to the blueberries and strawberries, but the baobab flavor got lost with the other fruits in the mix. So I then mixed up a quarter cup of baobab powder by itself with ice and water to try this in pure form.It has a tangy and very slightly sweet, has a mild bran-like flavor. It is heavy in fiber and is ground to a very fine powder. It is best used as an additive to other foods. I found that a tablespoon of this blends in easily with any hot breakfast cereal, such as oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc, and it may be added to almost any smoothie or protein drink. I also scooped a quarter cup into bread dough in my bread-making machine and that came out well too. In small quantities, it is a supplement for anti-oxidants and fiber. In larger quantities, the tangy flavor is pleasant. The only other thing to note about the powder, is that it is ground so fine, opening and closing the package always aerosolizes a certain amount of powder into the air, which then settles and adds dust to the counter top. Putting this into a canister container helps to control the dust.

Nice taste. Very fine powder.
The 250g package of Baobab Powder is a very fine powder. The only ingredient is Baobab Powder. It tastes like I expected: an orange sherbet type of taste. I blend it into my smoothies.
