Nokia T20

I was expecting a slightly better Kindle Fire, but happily this tablet exceeded that expectation. The android OS made it very easy to get all my apps in the google play store, as well as download a few external applications(positives of android devices). The build quality is great and feels heavy duty. Touch screen is receptive with no lag. There is an audio jack for wired headphones, and connection via bluetooth for eardbuds. I take notes while reading, or listening to lectures, the split screen option(available on all android devices of course) on a 10 inch screen makes things so easy. I never need to bring a laptop with me anymore. A top purchase to go a long with this tablet for me is a Ringke tablet stand which helps because I often like to read comics and books in portrait mode- which this stand gives you the option to do as well as Landscape( most cases/stands do not offer both, usually only landscape). Another great thing is you can pair this tablet with a bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth headphones simultaneously. I personally use the foldable jellycomb keyboard. Overall, I've found the perfect tablet within my budget and use case. The only negative I can really give is the wireless connection is not as good as my Samsung Galaxy S21, but I can't fault that too much since that is a much more expensive device. If you're looking for a budget device to study, read, watch movies or both- you really can't go wrong for this price.

I have been very impressed by the build quality of this tablet at the price point. The battery life is excellent, the screen is sharp and clear. Only real negatives are the speaker system and camera. I personally wasn't bothered by the overall camera quality because it was fine for video streaming etc. My main complaint would be the sound system. I can't for the life of me figure out why they didn't include a better sound profile. The sound is very monotone and kind of tinny. I found a separate Android equalizer app and it sounds 100% better.

For the money I paid for this tablet I must say that I am overly impressed with the screen quality, battery life, and aesthetics of this tablet. I actually would take this tablet over many more expensive tablets. It feels great in your hands and seems to be very durable. And it seems like it is very difficult for it to slip out of your hands. Superb screen display. Videos playback is perfect! Email inboxes are display beautifully. I find that I can be very productive on this tablet when I choose to use it over my desktop or laptop. Do not hedge on this tablet, just buy it!

Likes: This tablet is very fast and very responsive, light weight, it has plenty of GB for apps and a Micro SD expansion slot for up to 512 GB. It has a long-lasting battery per charge. It has a built-in radio tuner that uses wired earbuds for the antenna. This could be important if you're in an emergency situation and need to know what's going on around you. It has a USB Type C charger/connection but it lacks fast charging. Dislikes: For as many speakers as this has, the sound/speakers should be better. The cameras are so so. Some people like stock Android, but being used to Samsung tablets, I like more functionality for more personalization. The Night Light feature is too beige/green. It feels awkward to always press the power button at the top of the tablet to awaken the screen. It's hard to find good cases for this tablet. Get a case directly from Nokia...they make one with a lid and one without a lid that are very nice. Otherwise the Fintie brand case for this particular tablet is decent. I wish an origami-style case existed for this tablet. I've searched just about everywhere and there's not one to be found. Overall: It's a very good tablet. Use Honey to be reminded of price drops. I got mine for $174.99. After using this tablet for a few months, I can say that I'm very happy with it. I later bought a Fire HD10 Tablet to compare it to the Nokia t20 and I like the Nokia t20 much better. The Nokia t20 is super fast. In one of the paragraphs above, I mentioned that being used to Samsung Tablets, I like the functionality that allow for more customization. Well, I'm over that. This tablet is very customizable. One just has to learn how to do the desired customizations on this tablet which is different to what I was used to.

PROS: - For this price, this is the best you will get. - 3 Years of security updates. - Stock Android. - Solid aluminum frame. - Great screen. CONS: - No NFC, No fingerprint reader. - Large bezel. - My onboarding experience was laggy. This is my second Nokia purchase. After using the 5.3 phone for over a year I wanted to give this a go. I really love what HMD did with the Nokia brand and this was supposed to replace my Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus (2018). I got the package today, and started using the "link your device"; which began seamless. Then, wifi started crashing every few minutes while installing the apps. So, I did what I know best, and did a factory reset; hopefully it was my mistake. After boot I got no wifi at all, couldn't turn it on. Another boot. Now everything seemed to work. I reinstalled my apps. I get kicked out of my wifi every time the CPU heats up (and you can feel it heat up, BTW). This is a minor bug that I hope would be fixed in the next system update. I also can't really use my banking apps (I have to enter the login details every time) because there's no fingerprint scanner. However; this is not Nokia's fault. This is a poor design with my banking app, not implementing Face ID or something like that. You should get it if you need a tablet. You shouldn't get it if you need a tablet for gaming, or something which would go with heavy use.

Es una Tab que se compró para mí señora madre, la cual no ve más que YouTube, Netflix y demás, por lo que para ver medios es perfecta. Además de que es facil de usar. Por el precio no se puede pedir más. Si lo quieren para usos más avanzados, inviertan en algo más potente

Se agradece el android "puro", acabados de calidad, excelente resolución de pantalla, el único pequeño "pero" que le pongo es que aunque tenga la opción de pantalla "calida" al máximo, se ve aún un poco "fría" la gama de colores y la opción de "luz nocturna" se torna una tonalidad muy verde en vez que fuera un tono ámbar. Hojalá lo puedan corregir con alguna actualización. Buena fluidez con sus 4gb de ram, y respecto a lo que quizás sea la mayor incógnita, su procesador, sin problemas hasta ahora, aunque no le he exigido esfuerzo mayor (no la he usado con juegos).

Es un buen equipo, cumple con la mayoría de cosas que promete, pero en cuanto al tema de actualizaciones me quedó mal, en menos de un año no me deja actualizar y su rendimiento ha disminuido drásticamente, tomando en cuenta que solo le instalad Netflix y sus competidoras, tiktok, Shazam y ya. También en cuanto a la iluminación se filtran destellos por una esquina de la pantalla lo que en condiciones de poca luz la iluminación no se aprecia uniforme.

No dura ni un mes. A la primera actualización falla en el reinicio: se apaga y ya no enciende ni reacciona. Se convierte en un pisapapeles de pantalla negra. 😞
