This is a great screen for a RPI 4! Zero issues at all. The lower part of the case is plastic though. Required zero additional config. Just attached to the pi and it worked right away. ***One the screen is connected to the pi you have to have a sd card with a distro flashed on it for the screen the work. The screen wont work without an sd installed.

This case/screen combo is amazing! Very high quality, easy to assemble and the final product looks so great! I'm using for a Kali Linux distro and while other touchscreens I've tried would not work as touchscreens with Kali, this worked on first boot! No drivers to install, just a few lines in the config file. Two downsides: light bleed from the bottom of the case, not a big deal at all, just noticed this morning in a dark room, otherwise, not noticeable. The possible bigger downside is there is no way to swap SD cards without completely removing the back of the case and maybe the display ribbon cable since the TFT port is between the screen and the pi and the display cable goes right over that (you can see in the picture with the case open, the TFT slot is behind the gold display cable). I'm going to try a TFT extension to see if I can make swapping cards easier, but even if I can't, this is a great case/touchscreen combo! EDIT: Tried the TFT extension, but there just isn't enough room without blocking the display cable port--however, the pi 4B supports booting from USB and I'm using that method now instead--working terrific! I plugged in a standard USB SD card reader and it would boot from that image. Every distro I've tried has worked with the touchscreen with no additional setup and when I connect an HDMI display, the HDMI takes over and the small panel turns off just like you'd want it to. Can't say enough good things about this setup!

The case is good, screen is great, touch works better than I had expected. Be really careful tightening those extensions or screws in. I stripped two threaded inserts out of the board, and it didn't take much effort. I am an absolute gorilla though, so probably my fault. I wish they sold the same thing with some batteries in it to take my pi for a walk..

Works great but the screen is small. Plugged to my TV then monitor but only shows a marquee like screens. Hoped once plugged it to a monitor that i would have a large screen of what was on the case screen but no. Works great but not really good for playing video games on.

This is a small display for a small computer. It's designed for the Raspberry 4B, and it includes a mounting system to attach the processor board with all its trimmings to the back of the display and so that the combined package fits comfortably in the housing provided. The kit includes a few ribbon cables. When assembled, the shortest of the cables neatly connects the display and the processor. The cable simply slides into the socket at each end, so you have to give it a good push so it seats properly. The display is sharp and bright but nothing like a modern high end smartphone screen. The touchscreen works pretty well, but keep in mind that the screen is small if you are designing a user interface. Consider using one of the Raspberry's HDMI outputs to get a larger screen if you are doing development work. Many Linux systems will provide a full width, half height on screen virtual keyboard. One can type on it if one is careful, but, again, if you are doing development work, consider getting a USB wired or wireless keyboard. If you are considering this product, you likely already know about the magic of ssh, but it's nice to be able to connect directly for configuration. I'm using this in a hobbyist project, trying to run an old PDP-10 emulator, so far without luck. I can imagine this display would be useful for countless applications amateur and professional.

I have a complaint, and it's not even related to this product. I wanted this exact thing, but without the touch capabilities. I don't need it for the project I'm doing so I would be happier if I could find a cheaper product that does not have touch. With that being said, this meets my needs perfectly. I need something small form factor so I can work on a hand held. If it had mounting points that came off the screens backing instead of being inset I wouldn't need an extra bit to insert this screen into a frame, however it's workable. If you need a small screen quickly, this is the one to go for.

Don't buy this product doesn't work, and you try to contact waveshare to get support and that goes nowhere. Do some research before buying there's a lot of people complaining for the same reason look it up. A lot of money to just throw away. The Amazon seller is amazing with the help and exchanging it, but unfortunately the product is no good. Hopefully get a good replacement from seller.

Geweldige display . Deze word gebruikt om de Victron venus os te draaien op een Raspberry pi4b. Werkt gelijk zonder probleem. Let op als je dit gaat gebruiken er voor. Venus os geeft alleen bij op start de logo Victron. Je moet inloggen en de unit activeren aangezien de venus os van uit gaat geen Display aanwezig is. (Je heb beeld met de Victron logo)

Ekran na raspbianie dziala od razu po podlaczeniu, nic nie trzeba ustawiac. Wentylator na zdjeciu jest podpiety do zlych pinow, prawidlowo w dolnej linii 2 i 3. Koniecznie trzeba dodac radiator do procesora, inaczej wentylatorek nic nie pomoze. Obudowa moglaby byc aluminiowa, wtedy warto by bylo nawet doplacic, ogolnie spasowanie 7/10.

Avis pour le 4.3" DSi LCD (with case) Super boîtier qui fait très bien son travail. Il est en plastique mais ce n'est pas un plastique dur et cheap, c'est du plastique assez qualitatif. Il s'ajuste parfaitement à mon RPi4b dans la mesure ou j'ai réussi à le monter sans trop de difficultés et sans aucune notice fournie (il suffit de réfléchir un peu contrairement à d'autres qui ont fait un vrai Picasso avec ce boitier...) l'écran est de très bonne qualité, suffisante pour afficher une image plus que correcte. Dans mon cas il fait tourner mon serveur Home Assistant et l'écran n'est pas vraiment utile, il est vrai. J'ai mis des photos selon les étapes de montage si ça peut en aiguiller certains. ATTENTION le ventilateur ne se branche pas sur les 2 bornes sur lesquelles il est branché sur ma photo et sur les photos d'Amazon, il se branche sur les 2 autres en face sur la 2ème ligne de picots (voir schéma joint).
