This is a nice, sturdy
This is a nice, sturdy, child-sized tool that makes working out in the yard a lot easier. I just give my two boys their shovel and let them dig up dirt away from where I am working. That way we all are doing important work! I made sure to buy one for each child so that there wouldn't be an argument.

Ok shovel
I was actually perfectly satisfied with my shovel until I found another one very similar at my local garden store. The one at my garden store was $2 cheaper and made significantly better. This one, after a few uses gets a bit wobbly at the connection and has to be tightened again. I bought my kids the cheaper, slightly tougher ones for digging for treasure in our yard and this one will do just fine at the beach. I just wanted it to dig a deeper hole for my umbrella that always seems to blow away. It will be fine for that.

Made in China JUNK
Made in China = shoddy quality control.There's a quarter-inch chip in the paint at the tip of the shovel, and the paint is blotchy on the rear face of the blade. Why can't Amazon source quality toys that are MADE IN THE USA?I'll be demanding my money back on this one. Junk. Suggest that you avoid.

Sturdy & well made
My grandson loves to help in the yard but the plastic yard tools kept cracking and breaking. The wooden handle is longer and the shovel is made of medal. Hope I can find a rake to go with it.

They are good looking shovels and may be perfect in yard work ...
Used on the beach with wet sand and one of the two broke. They are good looking shovels and may be perfect in yard work and loose dirt, but I got the metal to hold up in the beach of our lake vacation spot.

It's METAL not a toy
KIds toy shovel or weapon? This thing is METAL. It's a kids tool not a toy. Change the description. I was expecting wood and plastic.

Good quality, but smaller than expected
The shovel appears to be well designed and built, but the head of the shovel is much smaller than expected and flatter. Would work great to break up dirt, but difficult to actually pick up shovels-full of dirt.
