This was an easy install and works as a great garage door remote.BUT...There are a few serious flaws.Although the display knows if the door is opened or closed it does not know the difference between the two commands.If the door is already closed and you have a timer set for 11pm to make sure you don't go to bed with the garage door opened it will send the "close" signal and open the garage,If your garage door is closed and you say "OK Google, open the garage door" it will ask you for a pass code to open it. All good. But if your garage is already closed and you say "ok Google clos the garage door" it will open it.Yesterday I set a timer for 11pm to make sure the garage was closed. I woke up this morning to my garage door wide open and a $700 sliding compound miter saw missing.

Long story short, I got 2 in a row that are defective.Instructions are horrible, but it's the same type of work required to setup a lot of "cheap" home automation stuff that I'm used to. It's supposed to create it's own "hotspot" that is used to configure the device. It never created said hotspot, checked using multiple devices. I got a replacement, and SAME EXACT ISSUE. There's no support telephone number. I've wasted 4 hours of my life to troubleshoot this. I'm pretty confident that this device will soon disappear from the Amazon marketplace, BestBuy (who apparently sell this device online through a "marketplace seller"), and anywhere else this is currently on the shelf.

Do not install this spyware app into your phone. It asks for far too many permissions including the ability to redirect outgoing phone calls, access to your photo gallery, and your exact GPS coordinates.

So far this wireless garage opener works great. It was easy to install with a very clear instruction manual. The opener can be connected directly to my wall console. It provides two sensors that needs to be attached to the door and wall above the door, respectively. These two sensors allow you to check the open or close status of the garage door. Once adding the opener to the app, I can easily control and see the status of garage door. It gives me a lot convenience of driving into my garage.

installed with my Chamberlain opener that with purple learning button.1. Downloaded the app - Smart Life and connected to my wifi network at home. Done all settings.2. Moved to my garage, insert the red wire to the first hole and black to the second. Keep pushing the small button under the hole when you insert it, be aware, don't let the existing wires out.2. Clipped the controller somewhere3. Pluged in4. The sensors cannot installed like the instruction..., have to put them on the side, looks weird, but is working...5. Yea, easy to control and app is good, much better than my DIY one...
