These prongs are game changers. They reach through a mane of hair and get the job done. I have bought several shock collar only to find the prongs wont reach through his fur and choking him is not an option and defeats the purpose just to make them reach.

My thick haired white shepherd finally got brave enough to cross her boundary. She decided to try again after I put these on her petsafe, rechargeable collar and quickly changed her mind.

I have a German shepherd and this only worked about 50% of the time. I had the collar as tight as it could go without choking my dog out and still it would rarely work. Highly suggest a different option for thick fur.

Had SO much trouble with ecollars and the petsafe wireless dog fence. Once I got these prongs, it can actually touch her skin through her thick husky fur. She hasn't been able to run through the wireless dog fence and have to chase her for 2+ hours

I bought this extended prongs for a dogtra bark collar. I have an extra fluffy aussie and the dogtra was my 3rd attempt on a bark collar. His extra thick cut doesn't allow most collars to make contact with the skin so they never work. I was super excited when i saw these extra long prongs for the dogtra. Although i think they are expensive i bought them cause its better than buying a 4th collar. They do work but you do have to put the collar pretty tight in the dog otherwise they just kind of point down. They ended up perforating my dogs skin horribly. I think they can work if being used for less than 2 hours, any more than than i just dont see how they would not hurt your dog!

These new prongs fit perfectly on my old training collar and penetrate through my new dog's very thick long coat of fur.
