I'm a collegiate track athlete, junior track coach, and fitness, performance, and sports sciences enthusiast. This book is clearly written and serves as a great how-to for coaches, parents, and aspiring track athletes. Definitely a recommended read!

I had used the book in the past. The exercise regime is good as it allows you to interchange them from synergy to antagonist systems. Great range of exercises

Great book for beginners and coaches who aren’t as knowledgeable in the realm of weight training! The workouts and work out plans were easy to access and read through.

I bought it to see if it had event specific ...
I bought it to see if it had event specific weight training ideas, in particular for high jump. Absolutely nothing. Title of book should be changed because it's misleading.

I'm not a BodyBuilder, of Football player. I don't need MASS!!!!
Pros: Good picturesCons: Training is for a Bodybuilder or football player. The workouts target the wrong energy systems and it offers you generic workouts that are basic and general. The workouts provided will add MASS, and as a Sprinter, Jumper. Mass is not the goal in track and Field. Strength, Power, Explosiveness, and Speed are. This book fails to address these issues and thus I would NOT recommend this workout Routine "Book" to a track and field sprinter, or jumper. *hurdler*To Conclude: The author does a good job in showing you pictures and photos of different exercises. However the workouts are designed for a football player or bodybuilder. To a trained Exercise SPort Scientist, such as myself, This book was built for a football player or a bodybuilder NOT a Track and Field Athlete. Its as if he used the same workouts in his other book "The Ultimate Weight Training Guide for Football" and just switched the name.In my personal opinion this is not a book for a track and field athlete. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE TITLE.
