Berenstain Bears fun science and nature book…
I read this with my kids when they were little. It’s a great first science book and fun to read. And of course, Berenstain Bears books are favorites. So I purchased it for my nieces who are 5 years old hoping they didn’t already have it…and they really like it.

The classics are gold
This book is such a great introduction to science for preschoolers and kindergarteners. It’s a wonderful resource adapted from the ultimate classic children’s book series. Interesting, captivating, easy to understand.

HUGE, FULL COLOR STORIES
This is such a thick book that's ALL children's stories. Full color and about science.Definitely the best value out of all the Christmas books we bought our niece!

I love the Berenstain Bears
Great book full of facts and adventure. I particularly liked the almanac part, but each part is interesting and particularly so if you like nature. Children will love it.

Cute as a way to interest kids, but…
It definitely is a cute little storybook with a few science facts. A large part is dedicated to seasons and months, which helped solidify the concept more for a 5 year old. It definitely wouldn’t be a homeschool science teaching tool, but ok as just a fun story. I had hoped it would be a good little book for very, very light homeschooling and unfortunately my child was a little beyond this in terms of learning actual science vocabulary.

Another winner by the Bernstein Bears!
I remember a smaller version of this book from when my kids were young several decades ago, and they loved it. (Back when we knew them as the "Bernstein" Bears, lol!) This is greatly expanded, 190 pages in all! It's a great book that explores fun facts about things like the wind, or the difference between an herbivore, carnivore, or omnivore in easy to understand language. Just a warning, there is a scary-looking wolf in this section that might not be suitable for a very young, or sensitive, child. This is on page 81 so you might want to skip this page, especially since a 3 year old won't understand this content anyway. The book is more suited to an older child, maybe 5-10 years old.As expected, Stan and Jan do not disappoint with the many fun illustrations that make kids, and grandma's, giggle! I bought it for my 7 year old granddaughter as a back-to-school gift and she loves it!

Great book with actual facts! Always loved the Bears!
Growing up, I read every single Berenstain Bears' book. I am 42 now with a daughter who just turned 7, and for her birthday, I had to get her some of the Bears' books. This book is actually quite amazing! I don't remember them being so informative, or maybe it's because this is the Big Book of Science and Nature, because the first bit of the book's many pages explains what snow is. The writers incorporate rhymes and rhythmic text that not only helps young ones read, but makes it fun and helps the brain retain the information. I love the Berenstain Bears' books, and this is a must buy. There are many pages filled with really cool illustrations, FYI's, and information that will make your child more interested in continuing to read and learn. Thank you so much for your many books spanning many decades that have made reading exciting, fun, and informative, Jan & Stan Berenstain!
