The first soap I used in this set was the peppermint, and I wasn't a fan. Maybe that's because I am used to the strong scented peppermint soap made by Dr. Bronner, and the bar in this set is so mildly scented that I wasn't impressed. However, I am glad that I waited until using the other soaps before leaving my review because they were excellent. All were very fragrant. I especially loved the rose bar. I'm reading some of the reviews here and it's hard for me to believe we are talking about the same soaps. Besides the peppermint these are *not* mildly fragranced, and no. The scent does not disappear after one use. It is infused throughout the bar... (I mean, that wouldn't even make sense unless someone sprayed unscented soap with perfume and passed it off as scented). A couple of people said something about dark spots; I did notice that, but my friend makes her own natural soap and imperfections like that are quite common. Some people complained that there wasn't enough lather? I'm not sure why that matters. I promise you will feel fresh and clean and nicely scented after bathing with these soaps regardless of lather factor. As a matter of fact, I can swear that I feel cleaner after taking a bath with these than with other soaps I've used. I'm giving the product 4 stars because I did not like one of the scents, and because I will reserve 5 stars for a soap that ends my quest to find the perfect soap. Until then I am still looking...

We use these soap bars for our hands. When we got out the first soap (lavender) my 7-year-old son smelled it and said "This smells like a slice of heaven!" LOL. He's never said that so it was pretty amusing. But he's right - the soaps smell great. The bars have no cow's milk in them (which is important since we have a family member with a severe milk allergy who can't touch milk without getting hives and rashes). The soap does lather but we find it takes a little more scrubbing (as in, get your hands wet and rub the bar between your hands about 3 times) to get that lather. This is good for our kids because they actually scrub their hands for a few more seconds! :) So far the bar has held up and not broken apart, even if there is a bit of water in the soap dish. I am very satisfied with this product!

I was really looking for something natural like lush soap without the price tag. Saw a lot of positive reviews for this soap and decided to give it a try. I just smelled the box and instantly knew it was not for me. It smelled like household cleaner and immediately got a headache. Each box also says organic and yet the back of the box does not actually indicate any of the items as such. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Good advertising, too bad the product is subpar

I thought this was hypoallergenic. At least, it came up near the top when I used a search here for "hypoallergenic bar soap" on Amazon. I can say that it didn't cause a bad reaction like some other soaps gave me and it smells and feels amazing, but I wont be re-ordering unless they use a fragrance that is not deadly cancer causing trash. It's used in chemical metal deposition and electroplating. That stuff will rob your skin of minerals like copper and cancer will develop. That is reverse at least some with the lemongrass one, which is proven to reverse certain types of skin cancers (lemongrass is).
