Cool Gadget
Functional and practical...very well made, sturdy, and looks cool. Took me a few tries to get it to work, but that was user error and lack of knowledge and practice. Very good product and well made. A must have if you spend a lot of time outdoors.

A must have l!
This is a slick tool! Filled it once and have lost count how many times I’ve used it and it keeps going!

Plastic cap fell off, but still functional.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the cap on the keychain fell off almost immediately. There was hardly any glue at all holding it on. This outer plastic cap is purely to make it easier to open, and it’s absolutely still functional without the outer cap. It’s much easier to unscrew with that piece on though.

Hard to use but figured it out I think
Bought this for my boyfriend and we had a hard time getting this to really light. It would spark a lot but took a LOT of attempts to actually be fully lit. We have figured out with some trial and error that it will light easily if enough string is pulled out of the tube (match part) and it is freshly dipped in the lighter fluid. Still, this product was difficult to figure out and it could definitely use clearer instructions.

Any Kind of Instructions would Have Been Nice!
Maybe this will work as advertised...maybe not. Can't tell until I go out and the buy lighter fluid I didn't know I needed. Didn't know that I needed lighter fluid until I'd attempted to ignite the cloth wick by striking the flint to the steel (which I tried numerous times). Nope, didn't realize there was need of lighter fluid until I'd found the cotton swab-filled reservoir when I'd unscrewed the black plastic threaded plug at the opposite end of the shaft that the striker screws into the other end of. Then there's the mystery of what the recess in the formed packaging is for... probably a small bottle of lighter fluid that nobody packed, huh? And where-as I figure the two black rubber "O"-rings are replacements at the hilt-end of the striker's shaft...to keep fluid from leaking out...what the heck is the three inch piece of wick packaged with the "O"-rings for? Replacement for the striking end of the striker me thinks - but how the heck is it to be installed? With this amount of missing information (instructions?) and product (lighter fluid?) in a contraption that's supposed to start a flame, I'm stretching it to even give it one star. If it's 'sposed to ignite a flame, but doesn't work as advertised when delivered, and with no instructions of what's needed to allow it to ignite a flame - then it ain't much of a fire starter. At least a box of matches is ready-to-go right out-of-the-box!
