Flows more air than diaphragm regulators
Work's well with my many BINKS HVLP spray guns (MACH 1, MACH 1 SLA, and M1G) when spraying heavier waterborne materials with larger fluid and air nozzles . So strange that this "regulator" is recommended for use with HVLP guns rather than the more expensive diaphragm models. They don't publish flow rates on their regulators and the diaphragm regulators don't flow enough scfm to atomize with larger air caps. They will tell you that the guns may require up to 22.5 scfm with 95 or 97 air caps, but they don't tell you that their higher priced diaphragm regulators have maximum flow rates of 10 or 15 scfm! Pretty angry that it took using a $25.00 regulator rather than a $60.00 regulator to get my $500.00 & $600.00 spray guns to operate properly. I have wasted over $500.00 over the years buying and rebuilding diaphragm regulators. There should be a note that this is the only one BINKS recommends for their HVLPs and also not to use the pricier diaphragm units. I only discovered this after switching from solvent borne (thinner) materials to water borne (heavier) and several calls to tech service because it is not very clear in the product information materials. I always assumed that the more expensive diaphragm regulators would flow more air than the cheaper air valve "regulators". They don't.

Devilbiss Is an Excellent Brand
I use another of Devilbiss products and have spent a lot of money on their paint guns and regulators and other items. The success from past use has kept me coming back. The gauge is accurate and the regulator is easy to control the flow in the guns.

Satisfactory
Satisfactory, apart from excessive postage. This product is exactly as advertised and fitted my spray gun correctly. They are not very strong, being only die cast, and easily snapped off.

Great Inline Pressure Adjustment!
After purchasing a cheapy valve that leaked and performed poorly, I found this Devilbiss on Amazon for a reasonable price. Because it's rather small and lightweight, I installed a male connector on the end of the paint gun handle so this valve can just pop on -- with a small inline filter attached right below it. I now have instant and easy access to any pressure adjustment that I need. The pressure reading is accurate and it holds. No muss, no fuss, and it works every time. I couldn't be more pleased.

great for us lefties
This is a great item. The knob is on the back of the gauge so the chances of it getting moved while your spraying is nill. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the Astro gauges I bought earlier but the knob kept hitting the palm of my hand while I was spraying. This would change the pressure when I didnt want it to.The "lefties" comment does not indicate my political affiliation.....just my dominant hand

The first regulator i purchased that actually works so i bought acsecond one.I am completely satisfied with the quality so far.

6 Reasons NOT To Buy This Valve
1. Super cheap material. Seems like chrome coated plastic.2. For "paint guns" the gauge is terrible. Most paint guns don't need to go above 40psi so with this you lose all sorts of micro adjustment needed. You're just guessing if you're on the right psi if you need to be exact.3. The valve is a restricting screw type and not a more preferred diaphragm style. Right there I should have known it wasn't for me.4. The fitting at the top never got tight so it's constantly leaking despite everything I try to do.5.The adjustment knob doesn't lock into place. So when spraying a few times I look down and notice it had been bumped and was nowhere near the PSI i had set it at originally.6.The screw that holds the knob on also wiggled loose a few times causing the knob to just fall off.Overall probably one of the worst adjusting valves I can think of. ONLY good thing is has going for it is it's small size.

Three Stars
Wanted valve with no gauge attached as illustrated. No apparent way to order without gauges.
