It's not strong at all. Picture shows what a simple wire cutter did with it in about 3 seconds. Literally.Nice locking mechanisms and keys, but very lightweight stuff. Certainly UNsuitable for anything that needs to be secure. Won't fill the need for which I bought them.

These locks work well, and having numerous copies of a single key that opens all of the locks on my and my wife's various pieces of luggage was a great convenience. We could each carry just one key and be each other's backup in case of loss, and we could salt extra copies in various places as well. I bought two packs and, as responses to other reviewers indicated, both packs worked with the same key. I would not worry about this being insecure. If someone has one of the key variants for these locks and it happens to match your locks, that person is obviously intent on getting into luggage and would be able to do so one way or another even if the keys were all different. It is trivially easy to break into zipper closures or pry open small travel locks by force. Locks like these are only to deter a casual thief and encourage him or her to mess with some other bag that is even less protected. Any luggage other than James Bond's will never be safe from a serious thief.

I bought a 2-pack & 4-pack and realized the keys are not unique at all. So if another person have a Forge key, I suspect he'll be able to open my stuff.

I used a pair of these locks to secure my Pelican 1520 full of tools that gets opened and inspected by the TSA frequently. I liked them because the shackle was small enough that if the TSA didn't latch my case properly upon closing it (also a frequent occurrence), they wouldn't allow the lid to lift up too much. I also liked that they were keyed alike. As you can see from the attached pictures, one trip they came out of the baggage claim in pieces, the shackles are bent, and the cases are splitting. Nice while they lasted but not up to the task long term.

The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because I love that they are keyed and not combo and can be purchased as a set of 4 with matching keys. Other than that, I've used them on Pelican cases and soft luggage on a total of 3 flights now, and 3 of 4 came back with broken casings and the fourth still functions from a closing standpoint but does not lock. Huge let down, and I am back on the search for a more durable lock again.

Bought these locks specifically because they said that the key wouldnt release until the lock was relocked. That is not true, the key comes right out. This does not meet my criteria, nor does it match the item description.

I bought a dozen of these locks. They are total garbage. In just one trip 8 out of the 12 of them are damaged and/or non functional. Two are completely missing so I can only assume they were damaged and fell off as the other lock on the cases was still in tact. The loops are bent, or the loop completely came out. Very poor quality product.

I recently went on a trip/vacation and I needed some good locks. I bought these TSA approved travel luggage locks by Forge/Travel Sentry and I am glad that I did.It withstood the tossing that I personally saw my luggage go through. The person tried not to let me see it, but I did. I recommend these locks,because it is truly extremely rugged like they said it is.

Arrived promptly, with all four locks packed securely into a very small box. Exactly the size and colour I was looking for. Each of the four keys opens each of the four locks, so they are all interchangeable. Perfect.

This padlock is not a good quality unit. It is manufactured in China and NOT USA.

These are a nice set of matched locks. They look good and work well.

Have received but have not used yet. They look exactly as described.

TSA OPEN MY LUGAGE AND DID NOT LOCK THEM UP AGAIN BUT ONE LOCK IT SAYS THEY CAN NOT GET THERE KEYS OUT BUT IS LOOKS LIKE THEY CAN EASELY OR MY LOCKS WOUD NOT BE OPEN FALLS ADVERTISING
