First one lasted two songs before tearing but does sound great.
Thought I would give this delightfully inexpensive yet well reviewed brand a try. Very bright, fast decay, lovely little splash. Not exactly sure what went wrong. Two songs in, and I noticed it got very quiet, still sounded great though. I spun the cymbal around for a quick glance and saw an inch long tear had appeared. I know what most of you are probably thinking, as I would be thinking the same thing. This guy's a buffoon and gorilla smashed this poor little thing to death and has the nerve to return it. As an attempt to qualify myself as a non-gorilla, I will share I played for a living back when I still had brown hair, and having broken my share of cymbals over my career, I really believed I had learned how to NOT break cymbals. I use 5B nylon tip sticks, jazzish playing style, Dave Matthews, Sting, etc. Been playing this same cymbal set pictured for over 30 years, with the exception of the 10-inch Zildjian splash, which I have only had for around 15 years, and have not developed a crack in any of them. I will say this little 8-inch Wuhan sounds amazing, enough so that I am giving it another chance and exchanging it in hopes that the strange diagonal lines/dents that were present when opening the shipping bag, (yes bag, a box may serve a musical instrument a little better) may have had something to do with the very premature failure. If the same thing happens with the replacement, I will update this review and replace it with another wickedly expensive Zildjian. Update: 5/18/25 - Received the replacement 8-inch splash, noted it had the same or more of the "cross-grain" tiny dent lines straight out of the bag again. Took it for a spin on seven or eight songs, appears to be holding up without a ding or tear. I found myself being extra cautious though when playing now so as not to break it, after the memory of the quick failure with the first one fades, sure I will begin treating it more like his 10-inch Zildjian brother and smacking it with a little more vigor. We will see how the little guy holds up.

LOVE!
Decades (at least) before Wuhan was famous for viruses, it was the home of fabulous gong- and tam-tam-builders. As a high school band director, I’ve used many Wuhan tam-tams (what most people think of as a classic “gong”). They make drumset cymbals as well, but I’ve never used them. I have, however, purchased a few of these splash cymbals, and they’re great! Perfect splashy sound and decay; just what you expect. Highly recommended! (I also have a K Zildjian splash, but for the money, it’s no contest.)

Best Splash Cymbal for the Money!
This is a great sounding splash for an unbeatable price! I’m not made of money so I decided to try the Wuhan splash as I have had great luck with their products before. The sound it produces is a sharp attack-exactly what you want in an accent cymbal. I also had a hard time deciding on what size splash to get. I got the 8” one because I figured the 6” would be too small and the 10” wouldn’t give me the bright sound I was looking for. The construction is on the thick side so it should be pretty durable. I highly recommend Wuhan cymbals!!

Bang for the buck!
I previously bought a Wuhan 10” splash and thought the sound quality, price and convenience was amazing. The 8” splash did not disappoint at all! Save yourself $100+ dollars. I can’t say much about Wuhans crashes or other cymbals but as for the splashes i love them. Look up splash cymbal shootout on YouTube and compare for yourself.

not as loud as I would have liked.
This is a great cymbal, do not get me wrong, but you really have to bash it quite hard to get a louder sound out of it, bell also has like zero sound, stacked this on top of a Wuhan 14", great sound and cymbal just lacks a bit on cutting thru factor of the mix of other cymbals I have. Looks amazing as all Wuhans do,

Tasty, tasty!
One of the tastiest little cymbals I've played, excellent price point, good finish, fits basically anywhere in the setup. Fast shipping. Enjoy it so much, I purchased the 8" version too.

I'm so surprised!
I have a 10 inch k custom. I wanted a 8 inch K to match. I did not want to spend almost $200 on a cymbal so bought this based off reviews and a couple youtube videos. I have it placed right next to my 10 inch K and I think I honestly like the sound of this wuhan more. So happy I bought this!

An excellent choice.
I know that for crashes and rides most drummers will select other cymbal brands, but for splashes I really prefer the Wuhans as they sound exactly as a splash should. I just added this 8" to stack on top of the 10" and absolutely love them both. Save some cash and splash instead for these...pun intended. They are perfect.
