Ohio Art 505 Classic Etch A Sketch Magic Screen

Very disappointed. Screen has several very dark spots that you can't see the line through. I wouldn't be nearly as upset, though, if there wasn't a sticker for scanning on the back that had been sloppily, halfway removed. Made me think that this etch-a-sketch had originally been in a store, wasn't good enough to be sold there, so then was mailed off in the hopes that no one would go to the trouble of sending it back.

Unsure if I'll keep this or not. Person won't be opening it for a gift until the 20th of January. But it does not look new... it looks like it's been used. And Im tempted to open it to find out if it works.Edit: this item does not even work and it's only been used twice by an adult. And returning it. With or without a label and if not accepted I will file a claim with Amazon.EDIT: FEB 5I gave this gift on January 13th.. as that was when we were able to celebrate Christmas. I don't know if this is an original or not but it certainly does not work like one and I will be returning it. Definitely not the same quality of the one that we had as kids so I am thinking it may be a fake? I don't know. You can't even see the lines that you draw. I bought this one for an adult who had one as a kid.

Maybe they don't make them like they used to or maybe my boys are too tough on them. This is the second one we have bought and both have broken quickly.

This was a birthday present for a 4 year old and, in this day and age, we weren't sure how it would go over. SHE LOVED IT!! The entire "opening presents" part stopped because they wouldn't stop playing with the Etch A Sketch! Other kids wanted to play too! It's a proven, well-loved classic!! It's great for teaching them eye-hand coordination, planning, art, cognitive thinking, etc etc. Amazing toy!

Grandchildren love it. Weren't sure how it would be received in this age of electronics, but they really think it's unique and fun. They thought it funny that their parents played with one.

I gave it one star since it would not allow me to not give it any. This was a gift for a grandchild. Terrible quality! Do not buy!! The screen is gray and dotted - not the same quality product that my children enjoyed playing with for hours at a time!!

I always wanted an Etch A Sketch as a child, but never had one. My husband bought me one for Christmas a few years after we were married, and it finally wore out 40 years later. The grandkids loved it so much that I had to get another one right away.

I owned an etch-a-sketch years ago and loved it. I purchased this one for my grandson. The line is so faint, it's difficult to see what you're drawing. I wouldn't buy it again.
