Great for pregnancy
I bought the Serola after trying a few knockoff cheap brands in previous pregnancies and being unsatisfied. This time my pelvic floor PT said she recommended the brand name Serola because it was worth it, so I gave it a shot since I really wanted to avoid the severe symphasis pubis inflammation I’d experienced before. Apparently the trick is to never let the pain get that bad in the first place if you I can help it. So I started wearing it at fifteen weeks pregnant and have been using it for two weeks now. At first I found the belt very uncomfortable, but once I learned to wear it correctly I’ve been delighted. It’s not bulky at all and is easily hidden under dresses and flowy tops, and I find it very adjustable for however much compression I need. I haven’t had any issues with the belt moving, it stays in place really well. I can do weightlifting workouts without comprising my form and even go on family walks for two hours at a time without that excruciating low back and symphasis pain. Combined with doing my stabilization exercises, and icing painful areas after exertion, I think this thing could really help get me through staying active while managing pelvic girdle pain for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Great for hypermobile hips!
I've struggled with my hips subluxing my whole life. I wish I had this sooner. I feel much more stable and supported when wearing this. Less pain. Easily adjustable. Easy to put on. I typically don't overheat with it on either. Great buy! Definitely recommend.

The Serola Belt has been a real Godsend for me!
I have suffered over 4 hrs with excruciating nerve pain, burning, and spasms (lower lumbar spine, just below ribs, pelvic & groin region, hips, and thighs front & back to knees) due to a kind of dysplasia with both left and right SI Joints which has largely restricted activity (bending, twisting, squatting, lounge standing & walking, sleeping--everything!) I have been through multiple regimes of drugs, injections, physical therapy, massage, heat, Theracane, TENS Unit, support pillows, adjustable mattress, compression products, etc etc. and am currently wrestling with my insurance to cover SI-Bone joint surgery. Though I was once very active, the condition kept me most of the time on my back, which affects my happiness and potentially could affect my overall health. While researching online in mid' November 2016, I found the Serola belt, which has since been a real Godsend for me (I wish it had been recommended to me earlier by my pain management specialist or physical therapist, since another physical therapist told me the belt is widely used and recommended by many). No, it does not eliminate ALL the pain, however it noticeably improves overall relief and keeps my pain to a lower level. I wear mine 24-7 and have had to train myself with it at night to life on back with pelvis straight and legs flat. The belt adds the necessary support when ordered in proper size by chart, and worn in the right place according to instructions online & in booklet found in packaging (bottom of belt should be where front Jean pockets begin). It took nearly a month to adjust to properly to wearing it (correct placement & tightness) and deriving it's benefits, partly because I did not 1st initially read all instructions enclosed in packaging, and largely due to the extreme Inflammation I had up to the purchase of the belt. Time and patience was needed to learn and to allow the inflammation to gradually go down as I faithfully kept the belt on. Since, I have been able to stand and walk for longer periods and reduce a lot of my meds. The belt is a darker color worn low, and it is comfortable, very sturdy, and has very strong velcro that will not come loose. The straps on both sides can be pulled and secured to just the right hold needed to restrict movement of the SI Joints, while not restricting me from normal overall physical movement. I have gone to pulling mine very snugly and only take it off for showering to use the bathroom. In bed, wearing the belt and using a firm half-round bolster under my knees has helped immensely. I was surprised to realize the amount of pain, discomfort and overall tension that had been accumulating as I had just normalized and coped with it--even while drastically curtailing or drastically reducing my day to day activity. The Solera belt has allows me to stand and work in kitchen longer, drive and sleep more comfortably, and walk for longer distances at the store. Because I have been able to lessen the drugs I take and sleep a little better, I feel sharper, happier, and more relaxed. The money is worth it and the belt, when introduced along with the other measures I was taking, has helped a lot. I would highly recommend it. One more note: upon visiting another physical therapist, I was met with professionals who were very familiar with the belt and have been using it for their patients for a long time. She was also happy to visually evaluate me to ensure belt placement was correct. I have told my doctor and massage therapists, as well as a few people I've met with same issues.

SI Joint Dysfunction
I bought both the Serola Sacroiliac Hip Belt and the Pro-Tec Athletics SI Back Belt with Compression Pad. I’m going to compare both belts and then give my personal recommendation. I am an intermediate powerlifter. Im about 200lbs and somewhat solid. I’ve had SI joint dysfunction on and off for about 10 years. It went misdiagnosed for about half that time. Comfort/Quality: Serola takes the cake in this category. It is of sturdier construction and comfortable to wear. The Protech would be more comfortable if it wasn’t for that big metal buckle. If you wear this belt under your clothes, that metal buckle wears on you. Serloa is just a thicker and stiffer belt. It has fewer seams than the Pro-tech. The Pro-tech actually ripped on me, which prompted me to buy the $20 more expensive Serola. Effectiveness: I have a big gluteus maximus and medius. The Pro-tech has this thick pad that sits on your sancrum, and makes the belt more effective for me. You’re supposed to wear the belt under your iliac crest. For me, my medius (upper butt) makes a gap between the Serola belt and my sacrum(tail bone area). The Pro-tech’s pad fills in that gap and allows better contact and support. If it wasn’t for the tear and metal buckle, I wouldn’t be comparing the two. With that said, the Serola is effective. It’s just NOT AS effective. It has a tendency to ride up because of the shape of my body. A lot of people may not have that problem. Both belts do help with pain and support. Final thoughts: If you have a big round butt and a smaller waist (men and women), then youll find the same minor issues I do. However, because of the metal buckle and rip in the Pro-tech I can’t even recommend it. Serola if youre listening, add a pad like the Pro-tech for your big booty customers. Pro-tech, if youre listening, get rid of the buckle and make the product sturdier with less seams. First one gets my money.

The Most Helpful Product I’ve TRIED In YEARS
This product is, indeed, accurately rated. As someone who has been suffering from an SI joint injury that I could not heal due to constant overextending of the joints, this thing finally helped me hold the joint in place with minimal muscle discomfort which allows healing to finally occur. I am immediately relieved of my loose feeling SI joint pain. It took an adjustment period to figure out where to place it, as I have a pretty severe anterior pelvic tilt. Once I figured out placement, putting it on became faster and easier. I mess around with the support level through the day, but I’m finding that I still need a firm support. Maybe eventually I’ll loosen it, but while I’m recovering the tight tension feels best. Some people in the reviews say they can wear it at night, but I’ve found that I can’t. It is too uncomfortable for me to try to sleep in, personally, so I opt to restrict my movement at night instead to prevent further exacerbation of the injury while I’m asleep. It has worked so far and every morning I wake up with a little less pain. I can see myself wanting to buy a replacement if something ever happened to this one, guaranteed. So I think that means… buy it.

Relief from discomfort is not all that.
Good quality but overpriced. Also, see a physician to be sure your issue is the SI joint.

Relief from SI Issues
This is the second Serola SI belt I have purchased. The first one finally wore out. This belt is a game changer for those with SI issues. My left SI has been fused, which puts more strain on the right SI. This belt helps stabilize the area during work activities tremendously reducing any pain and discomfort. Helps with quick recovery after activity so pain is minimal and doesn't last long.

Ottima.

Wow lower back and hip pain greatly improved
I was a little sceptical that this belt would work but on someone else's advice I got it. I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis, both knees have already been replaced and will need hips done too this belt enables me to work all day with 70% less pain. It takes a bit to get it in the right spot but once you do WOW

Love it! Works perfectly, comfortable, hides under my clothing, was worried about it slipping but as long as you wear it correctly it stays without sliding around. with this belt and my stretching plan I can happily walk the dog for an hour without pain!
