I wear hearing aids and do my best to take good care of them. I've had an old Store & Dry for years and liked it a lot, but it was getting old. It was too large to take on vacation so I had to leave it home, and my hearing aids untreated. Not a good thing. I did a lot of research on the newer style hearing aid dryers and even discussed them with my audiologist. I finally settled on the Serene Renew. I've had it for a couple of months and know it was a good decision. It is small and packs easily into a suit case. The UV lights, which the Store and Dry had too, keep the ear pieces clean and sanitary. The three humidity settings are a real plus. In the Summer, when the humidity in Michigan is high, I can be sure the aids are getting proper drying time on high. For normal humidity the medium setting is fine, and during very dry weather, or in the Winter when the humidity is low, the low setting works. The instructions say to use the UV lights to "freshen" hearing aids from time to time. My audiologist suggested that UV light is excellent for sanitation, does no damage anything, and that I use them every night. I do that. I think it's a smart thing to do There is a battery tester, but to be very honest, I don't think it is very accurate. I have checked my batteries in the morning and had them go dead that afternoon. My batteries usually last about 15 days, so instead of testing, I just change them. Works for me. Some reviews mentioned the dryer got very hot when on. It does get warm, but according to my audiologist, who also repairs hearing aids, the heat is not nearly enough to do damage. She said not to worry about it... so I don't. It really doesn't get all that hot anyway. This hearing aid dryer is exactly what I was looking for. It takes up very little room on my dresser, does a good job of drying and sanitizing my hearing aids, packs well in a suit case, and even looks nice. What else could you ever ask for?

This hearing aid dryer and refresher works perfectly. I tested the drying effectiveness on the 4 hour cycle by placing two pop bottle caps with a large drop of water about half an inch in diameter in each, one in the dryer and one beside the dryer. At the end of the cycle about half of the water drop outside the dryer remained but the water drop inside the dryer was totally gone. Some reviewers have commented that the battery checker is not accurate. I find that the zinc air batteries briefly recover quite quickly so you must check them immediately upon removing from the hearing aid to get an accurate reading of the battery charge state.

As in the review title it’s a hearing aide drying box. At the end of the day the hearing aides are placed inside to dry off the hearing aides . Very useful for prolonging the life of the hearing aide.

I purchased this hearing aid dryer for my 9yr old daughter's BTE hearing aids because she has had chronic ear infections since being diagnosed with hearing loss and wearing hearing aids. I had no idea this kind of product was available for in home use. It arrived today and I used it for the first time- it worked perfectly! I love the magnet that holds the batteries, its a very convenient place to put them while the aids are inside the dryer. I also loved the battery tester, it showed her batteries as being fully charged (which I knew), but wanted to check that it would register correctly and it did! I was nervous about this purchase because she has ear molds and I wasn't sure they would be compatible with the dryer, I called her audiologist and they would only advise me to purchase the dryer they sell (which is more expensive than this one). I placed my order for this dryer and when the package arrived today I called Serene Innovations (their phone number was right on the box) to speak with them about my concerns. I explained being nervous about causing damage to her hearing aids that were $3,000 each. Having read many reviews I learned that someone had tested the temperature of the hearing aid dryer to be as high as 129 degrees Fahrenheit, the question for me was, could this temperature damage the ear molds and what is the highest temperature the machine could go to? I was very impressed with the customer service. When I spoke to the lady who answered my call, she was very understanding about my concerns. When asked if their dryer was safe for BTE hearing aids with ear molds and what the highest temperature of this machine is, she placed me on hold to go speak to an engineer of the product. She came back to the phone and informed me that it was safe for all hearing aids and that it reached up to 40 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit). The things I really loved about their customer service is that a real, live person answered the phone- a rarity nowadays. Also she was very courteous in dealing with a nervous mom whose child is fairly new to the world of hearing aids. And she actually spoke to the engineer? I was impressed that she had easy access to the designer of the product. And in the end, my child's hearing aids came out of the dryer in perfect condition. I'm sure that most people are not as obsessive as I am, but we paid for these out of pocket- insurance didn't cover a dime- so I can't afford to have them damaged in any way. I also bought sanitizing wipes that I cleaned them with first and then placed them in the dryer. I'm looking forward to a future with less ear infections, will update in a few months.
