I am 56 years old. In addition to lymphedema, I suffer from diabetes, neuropathy, weeping of serous fluid and probable severe infection and hypertension. I have been dealing with these terrible diseases for nearly 12 years. I know that if lymphedema left untreated it will gradually progress. I had home health nurses take care of the basics but my mobility worsened and my health declined. I was unable to sit in a car, sometimes even drive one, as the swelling and numbness in my thigh made it impossible to sit for any length of time. It got to the point where I decided to stay home and use delivery services. I’ve used exactly the same system that my physical therapist uses in her office. I've been seeing her 1-3x a week, and having the ONLY 15 minutes Air Relax treatment reduced my pain and swelling. I decided to make my own research on this device. To my tremendous happiness I found it online! I wish I could have done this 5 minutes research sooner. I use air relax 2 x day every day. The results are amazing. I now have the ability to sit in a car and have my independence back. I can walk 1-2 blocks now. Things are so much better for me now. I don’t kick and move my legs when I sleep as I used to, caused by RLS. I am able to have peaceful night and good sleep. My endurance has improved as well as my blood pressure and overall condition. Finally I am able fit into my right shoe. I am so grateful for this incredible device. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from the same or similar diseases. There are many things I want to do. I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he has a hard time recovering well after workouts. He started using the leg sleeves and noticed that his legs felt much better after a hard workout. My daughter also tried them after long, runs training for a half marathon and felt like they helped her recover faster.

On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate this Air Relax system an unequivocal "10". This system seems extremely well engineered, designed, and built; like something you'd find being used in a Clinic. That's because This Device/System is a SERIOUS Unit. (Fed Approved Medical Device). Yet, this unit is very simple to understand and operate; while at the same time it is extremely effective, and is a genuine pleasure to use. The Cuffs fit me perfectly w/o Extensions, and my inseam is 30". Other than that, I believe my legs are pretty-much 'average dimensions' for a male of my age, with ONE exception. In my later years I have developed peripheral/pedal edema. This causes calves, ankles and feet to swell with fluid. The sensation is relentlessly painful, and it feels as if someone inflated the inside of your lower legs to 100 PSI; plus your ankles&feet always feel extremely cold. About the only thing Doctors will do for you is prescribe Diuretic Pills. These pills deliver a Double-Whammy of problems to deal with; one of which is Severe Muscle Cramps. I'm "In Love" with this Unit… Having this particular system handy for impromptu leg massage therapy is the greatest thing since Sliced Bread. It works sooooo beautifully. I prefer using Alpha mode Massage, but admittedly this Unit is capable of cranking-out Far More Pressure than I can tolerate. Therefore I limit the Pressure setting to 'Level 2'. It's Max Pressure setting is Level-4; which I can't even imagine myself tolerating. But remember: Being Old, I've lost a LOT of Muscle Tone and Circulation over the years. I believe this System was designed & built so well, that it serves a very Wide Range of Ages, Injuries, and/or Ailments. NOTE: This Type of Therapy is NOT recommended for 'Certain Types' of Injuries/Ailments; read their Special Notes regarding this. (you wouldn't wanna Pop your Leg Veins open when they're trying to heal after being mangled, now would you?)(nor would want to send a Blood Clot speed-balling from your leg to your Heart either),, (so READ Recommendations / Precautions First). Improvements: I wish the Default Timeout could be 'Adjustable' (instead of Fixed at 15-minutes). The relaxing comfort which this Unit delivers is soooooo delicious, that I find 15-minutes is WAY too short. Let me set it for a whole hour! The pleasure of it's Massage ranks right up there next to s3>< (imho).

These work as intended and provide plenty of compression -- I only go up to level 2 of 4. The only downside is these are short. I am 5'8 and I wish these went to the tops of the legs. If you are tall, they sell longer inseams with a different model (not this orange one).

I purchased the Air Relax because I had been suffering from serious leg pain caused by chemo drugs used to treat stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The drugs had affected my calf muscles and caused edema around my ankles. Before the Air Relax arrived, I was walking with great difficulty and pain, using a cane for assistance. I have been using the machine three times a day for two or three 15-minute cycles (for less than 2 weeks) and the edema and calf pain are gone I had some immediate relief the first time I used the machine, but it took several days to completely eliminate hardness in the calf muscle. I generally don't go above the second pressure setting and use the recommended A mode followed by B mode (sequential inflation and all-4 chamber inflation patterns). I paid extra for expedited shipping (over a holiday weekend) and was very pleased that the machine traveled across the country and arrived in about 4 days through USPS priority shipping. Chemotherapy doesn't always affect my muscles, but when it does, this machine is a God-send. The leg cuffs are about 30 inches long, which is perfect for my 30 inch inseam. The Air Relax system seems well constructed and my only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to add at least 6 more inches of tubing between the compressor and the leg cuffs since it attaches at the feet, but the compressor controls have to be accessible to your hands. The control panel lacks a timer to tell you how far into a cycle you are, but since cycles are only 15 minutes long, it is not a big deal. All in all very effective and easy to use.

They aren’t as smooth functioning nor have as much pressure applied to my legs.

I am 73 and have slight to moderate circulation problems, more in my left leg than right. In addition over past 20 years, I have had multiple serious sprains of both feet and ankles, resulting in arthritis in both feet. For years both ankles would swell from time to time, but in recent years, the swelling has been worse, and both feet are affected, especially the left foot, and especially in summer. I saw several doctors, all of whom recommended compression stockings, which make me itchy. Finally my left foot was so swollen and painful for weeks that I became alarmed. I remembered the compression devices I had seen in hospitals. My online search brought me to Air Relax. I read the reviews with some skepticism, but at that point I felt I had little to lose and could return the device within 30 days. The first thing I realized is that the legs are much too long for me (I am only five feet tall), but by shoving my feet all the way down, I am able to get adequate compression in feet, calves and thighs. I wish they made a version for short people, though! Within a week of experimentation I was experiencing great relief. I found that in warm weather I need to use the machine twice each day. I do 15 minutes on Level 3 and 15 minutes on Level 2. I can get away with less time if I am in a hurry or the weather is cooler. I still have some puffiness in my left ankle at night, but no pain, and no swelling during the day. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found Air Relax, because it has enabled me to resume exercise classes and normal living activities without always having to stop and put my feet up or apply ice packs.

I had leg and thigh surgery and wanted a machine to help my lymphatic system and to help with swelling. I did my research on many machines before deciding to buy air relax. I wasnt really sure if i wanted to spend so much money on a machine but what made me realize this was a good investment was that at the hospital had put a similar machine on my calves to prevent blood clots.This similar machine was hooked to my legs until I got discharged from the hospital and helped with the aching pain when i first used air relax I was amazed on how good it worked, the quality of the leg sleeves and the compression levels there are 4 different levels and 3 air modes. This machine is totally worth the money and I will definetly continue to use when my legs are aching because of walking, working out at the gym etc
