Recording quality is pretty rough, but it's Pink Floyd, so it balances out. If you're like me, with 20 Pink Floyd albums and all the band's solo albums and several unreleased albums in the US, than you need this album just to have a couple of songs found nowhere else. If you're a casual Pink Floyd fan and you have six or seven albums, get the rest of the studio albums first, you have to put up with a lot of snap, crackle and pop on this one, it kinda has the sound of a vinyl album on a cheap turntable

This is material that has appeared on various unofficial releases over the years. Having heard some of these prior releases, I must opine that this series is the best quality and most complete collection of BBC recording by The Pink Floyd to date. The first volume covers the Syd Barrett years, and includes some true rarities. The '68-'69 volume has the best extant recording of "Green is the Colour" and the third volume is a John Peel concert from the early 70's. All are essential for serious fans. The packaging is attractive and professional. Pick these up while you can.

These are recordings that traders have been exchanging for years, but here you get REAL CDs (NOT CD-Rs) presented in the best fidelity possible with very attractive packaging... I have been replacing my traded discs with these releases... highly recommended for the TRUE Floyd-oids, not the ones who think the Floyd's first release was DSotM...

For a floyd fan, this is great stuff. Early floyd, so if you are expecting the "Waters" floyd it is a different sound.
