An inspirational personal exploration of the story of Christ
Michael Boyle's book begins with a wonderfully uplifting prologue in which he talks about his journey of faith with a touching openness and immediacy. His deep wish is for readers to look again, contemplatively, at the New Testament story. The book never flags as it traces a single consecutive narrative through the four gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and Paul's letters, with occasional comments from the author that focus our attention on particular passages and encourage us to reflect on these and on the other passages we read that have no comment by the author. I enjoyed every single page and I returned to the beautifully written prologue at the end, finding its expression and meaning enriched by having read everything that follows. The book has a wonderful clarity and strength of expression which stimulates anew the awareness and perception and appreciation of the story of Christ and of his ‘overwhelming love’.

An extremely helpful and healing read in todays unsettled world.
This is a wonderfully accessible reconnection with the Bible stories and how they are relevant to us today.I have enjoyed reading it slowly and going back over certain parables and understanding them more clearly with the authors interpretation.
