Works Great – My Pipes Can’t Hide Anymore
This little sensor is like the undercover detective of smart home gear—quiet, tiny, and extremely good at its job. The Zooz ZSE42 800LR caught a leak under my sink faster than I catch typos after I hit send. Setup was a breeze with my Z-Wave hub, and the long-range signal didn’t break a sweat reaching across the house. It just sits there patiently, waiting for a drop of drama—and when it happens, boom, instant alert. If you want peace of mind in a tiny, efficient package, this sensor is the way to go. Honestly, it works so well I’m tempted to hide one in the fridge just to catch suspicious drips.

TRASH PRODUCT
Couldn't even stay connected for 5 months to home assistant before randomly failing. I found out it randomly failed after my laundry room flooded with 2 inches of water. Trash product, Trash company. This is such a bad failure nothing customer service could ever do would make up for the cartoonish failure of this trash product.

Small footprint & sensors right on floor
Bought 15 & all were included successfully into Home Assistant and working fine after a few days. I like that these leak sensors touch the floor since I want to find leaks ASAP. Yes, the sensor might get damaged by water over about 1/8" deep, but I'll get notified way before the water gets that high. I'm fine with losing a $30 sensor to save hundreds or thousands. Some sensors I looked at won't sense water until the water is 1/8" or more. Too late in many cases. They have a very small footprint & easily hide behind toilets & under sinks. They seem to wakeup every 6-12 hours to update the battery status back to controller. So far, so good. If I have issues, I'll update this info.

Solid Peace of Mind at a Low Price
I'm not sure why some people are complaining about the sensor getting damaged if it gets wet. it's literally designed to detect water leaks, and it's cheap insurance compared to the cost of replacing flooring or drywall. If it gets wet and does its job, great, which is what I bought it for. Setup with Hubitat was straightforward, and it connected quickly to my Z-Wave network. It’s compact, discreet, and gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home for extended periods. I’d much rather get a notification from this little guy than come home to a surprise water damage situation. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it... especially if you want a few around the house in key areas like under sinks, near the water heater, or by the washer. Just don’t expect it to be indestructible; it’s a sensor, not a submarine. But it does its job well. Lastly, I called my homeowners insurance and they gave me a discount (albeit not much but any little bit helps).

Works well, but will die if wet for too long
These things are great. Super small and compact, and they react instantly and have never failed to alert me... But they have failed. If you don't get to the leak within a short period of time and they sit in water for too long, they are dead (or messed up). I guess the housing isn't water proof, which you'd think would be a pretty important feature on something like this. I have 10 of them around the house and they are a lifesaver, but I have had 3 of them die now after confirming a leak. If it happens in the middle of the night or while you're away, and you don't get to it to try it off, it will either completely stop working, or just go wonky and start triggering randomly and will need to be replaced. If they were waterproof, I'd say they were "cheap" and a heck of a deal. But they're "expensive" if they're a disposable item. Might have to switch back to the ones with an external probe for my next replacement (I'm shopping for one right now because I just went through this today).

Avoid
Goes offline, have to jiggle the battery to get it to respond again. Asked for help, got blocked by the company, my email, and x profile are blocked. Horrible company. You can find the same product for cheaper under 'no-name' brands here on Amazon.

Poor battery life, and died after a year
I bought 4 of these leak sensors in December 2022, and then two additional sensors in Apr 2023, because I like compact form-factor - easy to setup in places where a leak could happen. Unfortunately these leak sensors don't last, 3 out of 6 died over 18 month, and for no apparent reasons - there was no leaks, no damage etc. Also coin cell battery in these sensors lasts only 4-5 month which is inconvenient, but poor reliability is the killer.
