¿How to open? the strings are inside the trompo. You have to open them pressing the "buttons" on the sides strongly. You can also find tutorials on the internet on how to use a trompo. ¿How to spin? Each string comes with a plastic loop on one end and a plastic star on the other. You place the loop over the top and stretch the string to the tip and begin wrapping in a clockwise direction, moving up. You put the star on the outside of your hand and keeping the string taut, put the metal tip against your thumb and the top against your fingertips. Using an angle between vertical and horizontal, you throw the top about 3 feet in front of you, with the string finishing about 6 inches above the floor. They spin well and are sturdier than they look. Good spinning
