I added this camera system to my sprinter van. You can't see out the back windows at all so backing up feels like driving blind. Installation was quite simple- because I was running the wire up and down and all around the sides of the van to avoid some of my attachment points, I did end up needing more wire. I contacted the sellers and they sent me additional wire at no cost with super quick shipping!I did not connect the red wire of the small camera to the back up lights- I prefer to have the rear camera on all the time while I drive so I didn't find this was necessary. It can be powered from the cigarette lighter along with the screen.One small issue I had is that the screen was too heavy for my rearview mirror. After the third time of it bringing down the mirror, I got a cell phone holder mounted to my dash and used that to secure the screen. It works great and in my van it is actually easier to see and adjust the screen on the dash than on the rearview mirror location.I love how easy it is to swipe between the different camera views, to pan up and down in order to adjust the viewing field, and to adjust the brightness for day/night. The quality of the images are great. I also love that this automatically records to the microSD card, and that it can keep recording even after I leave the van. It's so easy to use, reliable and convenient!After ~6 months of using this product I had an issue with the small back up camera (totally my fault) and the seller still offered to help fix it. Amazing service and a great product all around.

This is not plug and play. A lot of the bad reviews are from people who dont realize this takes some time to install correctly. Thats not a reason to give it less stars. Thats the nature of the product... I/you want to know if this works as a dash cam and back up camera.The camera quality is pretty alright. All of these devices and dashcams use the same somewhat low quality cameras. From 50 dollars to 300 dollars. I found this one was better then my previous 80 dollar dash cam.The Screen is bright and very clear. I was impressed. The mirror option when the screen is off is actually nice also. I know this because I cant see the screen with my prescription sunglasses. I assume because of the anti glare on my lenses. Idk. I just cant see some screens and this is one of them. Little disappointed in that.But I wanted to record front and rear and this does exactly that.The mirror doesn't look or feel cheap and works just as it should. I cant imagine the 200 dollar chines mirrors being any better. I did a LOT of googling and youtube watching before buying. I eventually gave up and said, im buying the cheap one that a random guy from a thread said to buy.UPDATEEverything I said is still true 3 months later. However, I do agree with some other reviews. I cant see s**t at night out of it. I avoid driving at night. So, I would still buy again but if you drive a lot at night. Maybe not for you.

I’ve had this product for a few weeks and the day time quality is excellent however, nighttime use is something to be desired. As soon as it gets dark I normally turn mine off and just use it as a regular mirror because al I see are bright lights behind me but I can’t actually see the cars behind me or how close someone is unless the idiot is a half inch off my bumper. Again, it’s not a terrible product considering the price. You can see behind you at night if there’s no cars coming up behind you or on the side of you but as soon as there’s another car you won’t see anything but headlights. I will say this rear view mirror camera has reduced the crap bright LED lights everyone has on their cars now from blinding you when not using the camera so that’s one positive about the nighttime use. I just wish the rearview camera was better at night. The front facing camera is great day and night it’s just the back for some reason. I can’t say how easy it is to install because I had it professionally installed. Do I recommend? It depends on what your looking for. If your looking just for something for the front then yes it’s great quality. If you’re just needing something for day time driving that gives you both front and back then yes quality is excellent. If you are wanting to use in nighttime driving as well and having the back covered that’s where I’m kind of in the middle in regards to recommending. Everyone’s wants and needs are different. The product works for me because I needed a new dash cam and opted for one of these instead and again it’s a decent product for the price and provides some peace of mind at the same time.

Easy to install, great picture quality and features, easy to set up and use. For what I paid, I would gladly buy it again. Dawn to dusk video quality is top notch. Low light (twilight) visibility is better than I expected--very good. Night vision quality is about as good as you're going to get on any vehicle camera system--if you're in a city with lots of street lighting, the video is quite good with decent contrast ratios; if you're in a very dark place, video quality becomes limited to light sources only. I installed this system on a 2014 Nissan Frontier, mounted the camera very close to the factory camera, and routed the camera cable, as much as possible, through the factory wiring loom.A couple things I feel could make this system even better:1. Another 2 to 6 feet of camera cable would be nice. I had to be very creative with routing and ended up with a less than ideal routing path. In the end, I had about 3 inches of slack in the cable.2. An option to adjust the amount of zoom in driving mode would be nice -- While I like the field of view provided by this system (it's exceptional), I would appreciate the ability to adjust my view to something more similar to what I actually see in my rearview mirrors.
