Sexiest Wipers Ever! Passenger's Side
Yes I said SEXIEST ever....It was time again to put new wipers on my 2002 Ford F-250. IN my relentless search for all things cool I happened upon these Bosch wiper blades here on Amazon.com. After reading some of the reviews I decided to take the plunge and order up a set (after all you need a matched set - right?). Again these wipers were listed on Amazon PRIME so after a dash of technical wizardry the wipers appeared at my office from the friendly UPS man.I eagerly tore into the box to discover the wipers there, nicely packaged and looking pretty and just yearning to be mounted on my truck. When I got home that evening I opened-up my garage and hauled out my ladder to make the wiper swap (seeing as how my truck is VERY lifted I have to use a ladder for 'ordinary' maintenance items such as wipers, oil changes, etc.). The instructions on changing out the wipers are easy to follow and straight forward. Actually the most difficult part of this whole operation was getting the OLD wipers off of my truck.Once the old wipers were off the new ones mount up with ease. All you need to do is to squeeze the Bosch wipers at the hatch markings on the side. This opens up the catch allowing your wiper arms to thread through the opening and mate up with the catch on the blade. If seated properly (there is only one way to put them on) the top piece will easily close over the arm locking the arm and wipers into place. In a stiff cross-breeze with gloves on the mounting of the new blades took all of 45 seconds at the most.Once mounted I decided to "test drive" the wipers. I drove up and down a road close to our house checking for uplift or to see if they chattered or moved around while they were in operation and while they were in motion. The Bosch wipers made fast work cleaning my windshield (water) and did not streak or lose contact with the glass surface.Another note that is pretty cool - the wipers, when stationary proudly display the BOSCH 'logo' on the wipers - kind of black on black. Very cool and classy looking.A final note - the wipers are very clean looking. Gone is the exoskeletal suspension system we are all used to seeing on those 'other' wipers out there. These are VERY unusual yet elegant looking.I give these blades a very enthusiastic THUMBS UP. Give them a try - buck traditional blades!**** UPDATE **** July 22, 2010 ****Well the time has finally come to replace these wipers. Part of the rubber blade that is in constant contact with my windshield has started to separate from the rest of the wiper body. I will say that I am completely satisfied with the wipers and their longevity... and have just ordered another set from Amazon!! These wipers are a great value and worth the money. These last MUCH longer than the wipers you see at auto parts stores. To give you an idea - traditional wipers last me about 12-16 months. That said these wipers will have lasted me 953 days from installation to re-installation (that's 2 years, 7 months and 10 days)! To further recap - I live N of Dallas, TX where we have extremely hot summers and cold winters (this past winter we had a BUNCH of snow) and these wipers performed flawlessly in all weather.

Great wipers
These wipers are more expensive than what I would normally get but I had a B1G1 offer so I tried them out. For comparison, I previously used the regular Rain-X brand wipers which worked fine for a while but never seemed to last more than 6-8 months for me. I got them almost a year ago and they are still working great. I would recommend them even if you have to pay the full price for them because they will probably end up lasting a lot longer and not need to be replaced nearly as often.

Poor Engineering
I bought the Bosch ICON as a replacement blade for our 2005 Avalon. I called and asked specifically about our car's model number. They said to purchase the 420B and they would include a special clip that anchor it to the wiper arm. The drivers side is OK but the passenger blade "special clip" flew off on the freeway not 15 mins after install. I called back and explained how this clip flew off. The fellow starts telling me that they dont have a special clip and they do not have a replacement blade for the Avalon. I told him that they had sent me the special clips with the 420B blades and he started to tell me that I must have bought them soewhere else because Bosch does not have any clips like I described. So I went to the auto parts store and bought a comparable Trico blade to replace my BRAND NEW Bosch blade. Even thought the Bosch blade works well, the Trico works just as good. I will not purchase Bosch products from this date forward. They talk out of both sides of thier mouths and do not support their product after the sale..

Not worth the premium price
2007 Honda Odyssey in Syracuse, NY. I bought these when they were on sale and I had a rebate which ultimately made them 2-for-1 cost. At full price, I would have been resoundingly disappointed. The driver side wiper never makes complete contact with the windshield at slower speeds. From what I have read in hindsight, this is not uncommon. Would definitely buy the less expensive wiper blades and save the premium price.

Not up to ther Bosch name for me
These were sort of high and really didn't last as long as I thought they would for the money and the name of Bosch, got hard and started to chatter like most other blades then didn't clean windows well after the chattering started.

Bosch Icon Wiper Blade
Installation is very simple and quick. As others have stated, the right side wiper does not touch the windshield in the outside corner at the very bottom of the windshield even though the correct size was ordered for my S-10 truck. The wipers are quiet and do a great job of clearing. Ice build-up is minimal on the blade so it works well in snowy weather. They also look great, not having that metal spine. Time will tell if they will last as long as stated but so far so good.

Bosch ICON Wiper Blades
I installed the Bosch ICON 422A and 420B on my 2004 Chevrolet Malibu in December of 2006. They served through a relatively harsh winter (for Dallas) and record hot summer, and it wasn't until the end of 2007 that they started streaking a little bit. I replaced them in mid-December 2007 with Valero Ultimate bracketless wipers. The Valeros were cheaper, they are not quite as attractive, but more importantly, they started leaving single-line streaks within a couple months of use. This did not make them completely unusable, just a little annoying. The ICONs left my windshield noticeably clearer for a much longer period of time. The only significant drawbacks I have noticed are (1) high cost (about double that of traditional wiper blades), and (2) on GM cars with Wet-Arm(tm)--windshield washer nozzles attached to the wiper arm--the integrated spoiler prevents the washer fluid from being sprayed in front of the wiper as it sweeps upward. You still get even fluid distribution behind the wiper, though.
