Yep worked perfect, worth it

This part broke within 30 days after my husband installed it in the chair of our friend (who is 102 years old). Our friend used the chair to stand up. She also weighs about 102 pounds so there was no strain on the chair. The part is plastic. It fit well but didn't hold up. We would be interested to know if there is a metal alternative for this part.

Working good

My dog's hard rubber Kong toy found its way under my chair and got stuck in the scissor mechanism that raises and lowers the chair. The plastic end of the motor snapped off as a result when I attempted to recline the chair, and I was stuck in the chair in the reclining position. The next day, I phoned the dealer where I'd purchased the chair, and they wanted to send a repair tech on a six hour round trip to inspect the problem, then return later after he'd obtained the needed part. Rather than spend hundreds of dollars, I investigated the problem myself, found the exact replacement on Amazon, and was back in my comfy chair in two days. There's a reason this part is made from nylon rather than metal -- it's designed to break under stress before the expensive motor breaks instead. I now have a spare one of these stored in the side pocket of the chair in case I ever have another broken part.
