Extremely helpful independence aid
Purchased item to increase independence for an autistic adult with severe anxiety, so they could confidently and independently do their shopping while also using paratransit or ride share. While pricey at $300 or so, this item looks to be made very well and we anticipate it lasting a long time. The fold/ unfold is easy enough to do one-handed. When folded it is small enough to store next to the fridge or near the door. It fits in our trunk (versa sedan) or in the footwells of the back. The crates are easy enough to open/ fold for storage. They also keep the user mindful of how they will get the groceries into the car/ house, so the user isn't overwhelmed by the work required. It is smaller than a typical shopping cart found in the store, but is lighter and easier to maneuver (one handed if needed). We are also using it to take multiple trash bags out to the dumpster. By flipping up the top shelf, the bags can be stacked several high (we use a bungee cord to hold them to the frame) and wheeled away without as much risk of bag tearing while en route.Very pleased with the item.

The best of German Engineering
This is an amazing cart! German engineering in every way. Eye catching, I get so many questions about what it is and where I got it. Expensive? Maybe. But worth every single penny. Great capacity. Very versatile and easy to use! I have become the brand advocate… smile.

The best rolling cart system ever!
This is the most amazing cart system ever! I love it! It’s sturdy, not too heavy, smooth rolling, glides along easily and turns easily. Folds down easily and smoothly for storing or transporting in my vehicle. I would highly recommend this for anyone needing to transport things. It was a little pricey, but honestly I think well worth getting the quality of this brand.

WOW and UPDATE
This the most perfect little buggy for grocery shopping. I whiz around the market with such ease—- the wheels are super smooth—- the cart is so light—- perfect compact size—- other shoppers are banging around with the huge market baskets and I weave in and out of the crowd with my little Clax. It’s Amazing. I don’t have to fight with the metal carts nor do I have to worry about touching the public carts nor do I have to use those wipes to clean the germs off. All that extra hassle is eliminated with this Clax buggy. It’s SO easy to unfold out of the back of my Jeep. Just the touch of that one button and it opens right up. The crate that it comes with is also super easy to open and fold. I run around the market collecting my items and then roll right up to the cashier where they ask me if I need any bags and I say “NOPE —- just put everything right back into the crate!” I then roll right on out of there and straight to my car where I can either unload the groceries into my cold bags or I can just leave the items in the crate, set the crate into the back of my Jeep and then click the one button on the buggy and it collapses flat with ease. It fits so perfectly into the back. It’s so much easier to use than a stroller. I drive home and unloading the groceries is easy—- I can either carry the crate full of the groceries straight into my home and unload into the kitchen. Or if it’s too heavy, I can just use the Clax buggy to wheel the crate i to the house unload and then take the Clax back to the car, leaving it ready for the next shopping trip. BTW, every where I go with the Clax someone stops me and comments—- telling me it’s so cool, and asking where I got it and how much did it cost. I think the price is WELL worth it. This has completely changed my shopping experience to that of enjoyment and ease. I get to do my own thing without the fight and hassle of using the public carts. And also, I don’t have to return the cart after unloading into my car. With my Clax I have my own little buggy and I zip in and out and go home. It’s really cute. I got the one with the green accent. Just because of green for groceries. Get this. It will improve your life.UPDATE JULY 2025:It’s been over a year and this buggy continues to be the best purchase and value. I get compliments on it every time I go to the market. I even take it with me to the mall. I take it everywhere to just place my purse in and my water bottle or drink whatever. It’s so convenient and easy. My nine year old now unloads it from the hatchback and unfolds it himself for me. When I’m out and pushing the Clax around, people smile at me and look at it, they say things like “Smart!” and “That’s Genius!” and “Wow, where did you get that?” and “That’s so convenient!” I get those comments 99% of the time when I go out with it. It’s a really good compact size but holds plenty. It even helps me to not spend too much at Target because it can’t hold as much at the regular shopping carts so instead of spending upwards of $300 while shopping, my average spending is $150, just on account of the fact that it fills up more quickly. But again, it holds the perfect amount and is capable of holding everything I have needed it to. I have yet to see someone else with one of these while I’m out—- I’m surprised I have not. I have seriously not seen one other person with one. Although, one time, a cashier person at Trader Joe’s did say they had seen one before. But I would love to see someone else shooing with one while I have mine out. Don’t be afraid of the price… it’s SO worth every penny.

Easy up, Easy down! Steers like a champ! Might be bulky for some to lift.
I am correcting this review from four stars up to five stars. I have used it several times now, and finally figured out that it has two handle settings! I didn’t feel like it leaned back far enough to keep me from kicking the wheels while I walked, so I was walking beside the cart most of the time instead of behind it. It was still a wonderful cart worth having, but slightly annoying in crowded situations. I finally figured out that when the cart is done unfolding, it is on its tall, upright setting. You push the button again and pull back on the handle a little, and it adjusts to its “shopping cart” position that you see in all the pictures. No more kicking the wheels while walking behind it. Now I am a very, very, happy shopper.I bought this cart because I am new at Costco, and their carts are way too high for my short frame. I will also be using it for an elderly woman I take grocery shopping because we need to get her groceries from the the car and up her driveway hill in just one trip. Lastly, I will be toting music books to and from the car into nursing homes for our choir outings. Two other "utility" carts have failed to be able to handle the terrain. This one looks like it might do!So, I just got my new Clax Shopping cart. Easy assembly right out of the box. Just attach the wheels! Little picture card shows instructions on exactly how to do everything for everyday use. It took me longer to figure out the card than it did to assemble the thing—about 5 or 6 minutes total!I saw some reviews about taking the wheels on and off for every use. I do not plan to ever do that. It sits perfectly upright in a small amount of space if you just leave the wheels on. I plan to leave mine in the trunk most of the time. Then it will be there for a quick stop any time something comes up. It also fits easily between the seats if the trunk is full, but the maneuvering is a little tricky the first couple of times. So, I took it out for a test run, and here is what I found so far.PROS: 1. Easy Assembly. Open and up in less than five minutes out of the delivery box!2. Easy open: Easy Close. Ten to fifteen seconds at the most! It only takes that long because lining up the basket with the base of the cart takes longer than all the rest! The mechanism seems to do all the work for you with very little effort. I do agree with another review that the button might be too hard for arthritis people, but I believe that it needs to be enough pressure that it cannot be done accidentally. I wouldn't have even noticed if it had not been mentioned. Also, the weight of the cart might also be too much for arthritis folks, too. It is only 21lbs, but the shape makes it a little awkward to lift up. It has a very sturdy metal frame. This makes me believe that it will last me for years to come.HINT/TIP: It is easier to work with the tie-downs if you pull by the round part underneath the support instead of pulling from the top. You really don't see these from the top. At first, you have to place your thumbs on the top of the tie-down and reach underneath with your fingers until you get to the rounded edge and pull out and up. I will be adding a video later, when my son can help me with the camera.3. Easy to steer! Wow! This thing turns on a dime and weaves in and out of "traffic" like the pro it is! It didn't "bounce" over the speed bumps in the parking lot--just glided right over. I admit that I haven't filled it up with its maximum weight capacity yet, but I have gotten it quite full. So far it is amazing to steer!4. Seems very sturdy! Love the larger wheels that look and feel like they will last a long time. The solid frame is heavy enough to be strong and durable.5. The braking mechanism is WONDERFUL! Wide, easy "step-on" brake holds cart very firmly while unloading, even on slightly graded parking lots. Then just lift up with your foot from underneath the brake to release. Love, love, love this brake!CONS: 1. It seems impossible to get a second basket for the bottom! I waited four months for the extra basket option to come in before ordering the cart without it. The company has pushed that date at least three times that I can see, and they still are not available! I have purchased a fairly large grey bin for the bottom, but it doesn’t fit neatly like the original does on top—very frustrating! Of course, I realize that this might be more of a Covid supply chain issue than a company issue, but for customers it is hard to tell the difference. My bin sits nicely and does the job, but I am still waiting for a second basket that will collapse nicely like the top one does.SUGGESTIONS: 1. When you get the spare crates in, send a notice to everyone who bought this cart so that we can order them. It would also be nice if you would give us the lower cost that we would have gotten had they been available when we bought the cart.2. Add a little picture on your instruction card of how to get the cart into the two positions for the handle. Conclusion:All in all, I am very happy with the cart itself. For a little “mini” cart, it can hold quite a bit. I can get a whole case of Costco toilet paper on the bottom shelf with no trouble! Set the brake first so that it won’t roll while you’re sliding it on. Just try to get a regular wire cart to hold still like that!
