Simple little lock needs a flush mount door
I got this thinking I could install in on my bathroom door and I was wrong. I’m still keeping it around for future use. It did not come with an instructions but it’s not hard to figure out how it goes together. The quality is okay with a brushed nickel kind of finish. It comes with the screws to install it.

Misjudgments Without Instructions
Not even opening this up since it clearly has no instructions on how to use the dozens of little parts included inside the bag. I guess when I saw it I imagined that it’d simply be a two part lock, but now it looks like both main parts have separate parts, plus four screws and a cap. It also appears (again, can’t say for certain without instructions or opening it up and risk losing the smaller parts) that one part is made to go inside the door, whereas I had envisioned something that could simply be lined up side by side and screwed into either door. I really don’t know what to make of this, but I do know instructions would’ve helped and I certainly would’ve at least tried it out if they’d been included. Sad too tho, I really need a lock on my barn style bathroom doors.

requires a flat surface to install.
Comes with al required hardware. It is tricky to mount on a non flat surface like a shed's door). Shed's door have typically crests on the edges to make them sturdier. My plan was to install this on a bathroom, built on a shed. I am still working on it, and if I succeed will post an update on how I did it. I might need to somehow flatten or install a metal sheet where I can attached this to.

A secure latch to ensure privacy.
I used this latch to add an occupancy indicator to my apartment bathroom. The lock on the door knob was broken, and while I could have fixed it, I wanted a solution that would let others know the bathroom was occupied without disturbing the person inside. This option was also much more economical than replacing the entire knob. Fortunately, the knob, even without the built-in lock, is still securely attached to the door. I had to drill a hole through the door, but since it's a pressed wood door and I had a hole saw handy, that wasn’t a problem. The metal shaft that connects the plastic indicator wheel to the latch was fairly short, so I used hot glue to secure it at the right length. This kept it stable and prevented the rod from pushing too far into the plastic, which would have prevented a proper connection. I couldn’t use the metal base that came with the indicator wheel because the 90-degree portion was not compatible with my door. Also, when I screwed the indicator cover all the way down, it kept the wheel from turning. To fix this, I crafted some flat plastic risers to give the wheel enough clearance to spin freely.

Good quality lock with indicator. Will last a long time and won’t break. Very easy to install takes only 5 minutes. Would recommend to anyone.

Works Well for Bathroom Privacy 🚻
Installed this Mcredy Door Indicator Lock Latch on our bathroom, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I do wish the metal was a bit thicker for heavy-duty feel, but it still works well and clearly shows if the restroom is occupied. Easy to install and a practical upgrade for any bathroom needing a visible indicator.
